Borealis is a stern stallion who upholds the rules and is very just and quite wise for his young age. He was very close to his father who was a respected leader and so he learned a lot from his dad. He has a soft side under his layers of floof. Borealis doesn't speak too much so he often comes across as uptight or rude. He is very relaxed and mellow. He is quite the gentleman and treats everyone with respect. When someone is in trouble or needs help, he is the first to volunteer and help. He has a heart of gold. Borealis is very loyal and cares about his family and friends.

He loves late night walks and loves going off trails. He likes to be bundled up and warm. Borealis's favorite food is cinnamon and apples. Borealis loves watching the Northern Lights and is mesmerized by the colors. His favorite pastime is splashing in the warm rivers and ponds in the spring and summer. He likes to stay cool. His favorite season is spring because everything is green and lush, and the weather is nice. Borealis is a baby when it comes to the cold. He cannot stand being cold. Borealis also does not care for bananas and will not eat them. He does not necessarily care for winter time because of the cold but he does love the Christmas festivities.

Borealis is a tame stallion and so he makes the perfect carriage horse and parade horse. During the holidays, we do his mane and tail up for winter carriage rides. He is great around children and always loves getting some extra pets and attention. His gentle side comes out when young, bright-eyed kids come up to him. In the arena, he focuses on English style riding. He does not compete but we do train him in the arena often.

Borealis was born from a popular stable. His lineage is a well respected line of gorgeous mares and stallions. Most of his relatives are carriage or parade horses with some as leisure riding horses. As a young colt, Borealis was very close to his father; he was closer to his father than his mother. His father would take him into the woods and would play in the snow with him. Borealis had a happy childhood filled with wonderful memories. At a young age, he was taught manners and discipline by his father which were passed down from his grandfather and great grandfather. Borealis was taught to be gentle and kind to all but defend the ones close to you and yourself. All the stallions of his lineage were taught this and upheld these standards. He was socialized with other young colts and fillies at a young age and was around young children from the beginning.
Ah yes, the story of my first Christmas. It was a day to remember. I was only a week old and my father had a brilliant idea to take me outside into the very deep and cold snow that stung my body and chilled my soul. โSon, follow me. I have a fun idea that I think you will like.โ My father said to me with a big smile on his face.
You see, my father loved winter time and somehow he didn't seem to mind the sub-zero snow that was at first to me oh so torturous. This was what he was waiting to do with me ever since I was born. He couldnโt wait to play in the snow with me. I wobbled over to the pasture and looked out into the distance and all I could see was a white coating over the ground. โPapa what is out there? What is that?โ I said full of intrigue and curiosity as my small eyes grew in curiosity and fear. He said โSon, that is called snow and it is frozen water. Come on, lets go run through it.โ I hesitated for a minute and then my father nudged me forward into the snow. I fell head first into the deep and numbing snow and my father burst out laughing. I sniffled a bit and tried to pick myself up but I kept falling on my butt. Eventually I gave up and started to sink into the powdery snow that chilled my bones. My father came over and helped me up then said โAh Borealis are you struggling to get your to your feet?โ I whimpered as my coat started to get soggy and my legs started to get cold. He nudged me and said โCome on, try walking through it. Or try running.โ I looked up at him and started to trot through it and he chased me so I broke into a gallop which was hard to do in deep snow. It was a funky looking gallop but I was having fun. My father threw some snow at me and I fell into the snow from tripping myself. After I regained by balance and got up, I threw some back at him. My mother walked out and watched us from a distance. She smiled as we played and as I kept tripping over my lanky legs. After I was worn out and my coat was soaked with melted snow, I went back to the stables with my mother and father and my dad bundled me up in blankets as I laid next to my parents. Eventually I drifted off into a deep sleep and my love for winter time grew and my fear and hatred of snow shrunk and melted away with the body heat from my parents.

Currently Borealis is single but does have a crush on Noel, my gentle mare who is a parade horse as well. She is a sweet mare but is a little hesitant because she doesnโt want her heart broken.

Borealisโs favorite song is
American Prayer by Dustin Lynch. His fatherโs stall always had country songs playing and this song reminds him of his fatherโs strong belief that everything would work itself out. It is a very sentimental song to him.

Borealis prefers a small group of friends and hangs out with each of them primarily individually.
Fidelio is a great confidant and has a mature personality that clicks with Borealis's demeanor very well. Fidelio is mellow and a tolter that Borealis can relate to very well. Fidelio and Borealis both like to appreciate the beauty and grace of classical piano music together.
Tropic is the dorky friend that at times lightens up Borealis's serious personality and prevents him from being too stiff. Tropic never fails to make Borealis laugh but when needed, Tropic is very wise and the two have very deep and interesting conversations.

Borealis's best friend is
Greece. They are very similar in personality and morals and love to hang out together. They don't do everything together and spend every moment together but they do spend their pasture time together. When Borealis first arrived, immediately Greece approached him and Greece was his first friend and became his best friend.

As I walked slowly through the pasture, I saw a gorgeous red mare that immediately caught my eyes and attention. She was with her posse of friends and man I needed to get to know her. I paced around the pasture while contemplating how I was going to approach her and what I was going to say to her. Greece saw me from across the pasture and quickly came up to me and said "Hey Borealis, is something up? You seem antsy and just don't seem like your normal self." And so, I told him about the mare who had caught my eyes. Greece said "Aha you do have a crush now. I knew https://alexamray.wixsite.com/goldenhills/noel[url]Noel would catch your eyes. Since I am a mated stallion, my best advice as to how I got such a beautiful mate is come across mellow and gentle yet strong. Ask her questions about herself and be mysterious and interesting. Do not make up stories and do throw in an embarrassing story about yourself if she asks. Be a good listener. Alright come with me I'll introduce you to her." So we walked over together to the group of mares and the first thing that I did was smile at Noel. It was like I couldn't be mysterious. My heart was on my sleeve. I thought to myself [i]Welp Borealis, you just revealed all of the emotions of your heart in one moment. Nice going hotshot, now she knows that you're totally into her and that you are oogling over her." She smiled back at me and introduced herself to me and asked for my name. At first, I was still zoned out and so when she asked for my name I said "Huh?" with a goofy expression on my face. She laughed and asked for my name again. I said "Oh sorry aha my name is Borealis" as I was blushing. After talking to her for a while, I finally gained the confidence to ask her out for a stroll with me to my favorite place on the lake. She accepted my invitation and we started our journey to what I considered the most gorgeous place on the face of the earth. As we were walking, we started talking about her life and what her discipline entails. Her gentle personality and desire to make everyone happy touched my heart and I knew I was falling deep for her. She talked about how she loves to go on adventures to see new breathtaking sights. I thought to myself [i]Oh man do I have the most beautiful place in mind that I am taking her to right now[i]. After walking for what seemed like hours, we finally reached the banks of the peaceful lake. When we arrived, the sun was just setting and darkness was overcoming the land. She was speechless and nestled into me as the night grew colder and the sky started to light up with the dancing Northern Lights that always entrance me. We laid down and stared at the sky together as the Northern Lights lit up the sky and put on a spectacular show. After a couple hours, Noel started to fall asleep on me so I gently woke her back up and helped guide her back to the stables. When we arrived, I tucked her in her stable and wrapped her up with lots of blankets and some of my own because I noticed that she was shivering and cold. She mumbled a thank you and good night and I went to my stall and fell asleep. The next day, she asked me to take her back to the lake to watch the Northern Lights so that became our special place.

Borealis's favorite place is down on the banks of the nearby lake. He loves watching the seasons change and the Northern Lights that prance around the sky.
