Dreams;; Allocan isn't normally one to experience dreams often, but he recalls an odd dream from when he was a yearling, in which everything was the opposite of what was true in reality. Walking was infinitely faster than galloping, foals are born with the frame of an adult and shrink with age, and greys lighten as the years go on. He hasn't experienced a dream so strange since, and isn't quite sure what the aforementioned dream means. He simply writes it off as a dream made up of random information that his brain regurgitated and slapped together in a backwards format, creating a particularly strange dream.

A Strange Dream

As soon as Koran drifted of to sleep he was assaulted with visions of stone paths covering his beloved meadows and towering, lifeless trees made of grey rock residing in once was an expansive forest home to oaks thousands of years old. This stone jungle looked nothing like his home. There was no life, no hope or happiness, only despair. Cold, endless despair. He aimlessly wandered the paths winding between the lifeless trees, trying to find his way out of the endless cycle. He could scent horses long gone amid the stench that was this jungle of stone. But they to soon disappeared like his hope of finding....

Koran was startled awake as another horse spoke softly into his ear. He looked up and saw a ring of his herd mates surrounding him. The horse that had awoken him standing next to him. "What happened?" Koran asked, not sure what was going on. "You were sleep walking," answered the bay stallion next to him. "Kirran noticed you were missing and found you here."
Koran looked around trying to figure out where he was. Then he remembered his dream, no, nightmare. That was where he recognized it from, this forest was what he saw in there. Except then the trees were made of lifeless stone, not strong oak. Maybe it was a coincidence. Maybe he was just imagining it. But no, it had to be. That nightmare was not just a dream, but a vision of what is to come.

Hiro's Reoccurring Nightmare

For a season, young Hiro had the same nightmare over and over again. In his dream, he was being chased by ghosts. Terrifying ghosts with sallow bodies and empty eyes that would surround him and begin to devour him until he woke with a fright. As a weanling, this dream terrified him every night until his mother urged him to try and fix it.

For a while, they tried everything. He changed his diet and ate shoots instead of leafy grass (yuck!), he talked through his dream so it wouldn't happen again (which didn't work), he even tried rolling in a stream (old superstition, that was pointless too). He'd almost given up before his mother sent him to a healer.

The mare was busy with another Sei Manake when he came to her. He was enchanted with what she was doing that he sat and watched her for a while before addressing his own issue. When she heard about his plight, she gave him some broad, flat leaves and asked him to see her everyday. Confused by her request, he did what she said everyday for over a week. The more time he spent with her and learned about healing, the more the nightmare went away. Eventually, he was still going to help her long after his nightmare went away. Little did he know then just how his future would go.

downy wings sprouted from her back as little beacons
to heaven. A glowing white Halo above her head.

Before she knows it, her hooves are stirring the clouds,
specks of stardust swirling around them. She can see
all; she can see those who also soar above the clouds,
she can see those stuck on the ground. The mighty
warrior, with his spear raised. She can see the lowly
foal, wobbling on newfound legs for the first time.
She sees the downtrodden; and with a flap of her wings
she is capable of delivering kindness and care with
a single motion.

She always awakes to find a perfectly white feather
resting on her back. She always looks forward to
the next time she has that dream.
