Some people try to sneak up on him but he'll have none of it, and hooves will fly if he catches you behind him. The only way to get him moving is to make offerings to his Highness. He likes a specific type of apple and if you can't find him that he'll never come to you. It has to be the perfect size, with pinkish red skin and a few yellowed stripes gracing the glossy peel. If its too dark, too light or there aren't any stripes he'll be impossible to handle for the rest of the day, particularly towards the individual to offer him the less-than-appeasing fruit.

high up on the hills, he stands, trumpeting his despair, coat as gold as the dying grass he stands in. he protests, as he has for months upon months, his voice fading with the setting sun. he will not come in until she returns.
