How she lost her eye:♠ Eyes, the symbol of souls, secrets, lies, and connections between the hearts of people. Many cherish this part of there body as a true part to knowing who they are, and knowing who others are. From the color, to the shape, to the size, a true way to know someone is through there eyes. Emiko is no exception to the knowledge of this. After all even children know and understand that the eye is the doorway to understanding someone. So what happens when it's taken away? does that remove that gateway? These are all just beliefs from living being to another living being, so when it comes to losing an eye it shouldn't effect the entrance to someone's heart.
♠ The soul of this fox has been changed however, the loss of an eye does leave marks on the soul. Especially in the way this young adult sees things. Her life was ruined in one fowl swoop. and Emiko had no choice in the matter. If even one furtopian had just listened to her screams, listened to her cry for help, perhaps this would have never happened, perhaps she would be the
smiling child she was meant to be when the young fox was brought into the world. Non the less what happened to her will never be erased despite her burring it in the depths of her heart.
♠ As a young child, she didn't have many friends, as she was unable to make them. Allways being locked up in the house she was raised in. If you could call what she had being raised. Home schooling by her mother, long efforts of chores and hard work. On her free time as a child, you would be able to find her building things in the garage despite not being allowed to be in there in the first place. Her father, a rather proud and huge male fox, was a destructive furry who was fairly cruel to those around him, and strict with Emiko and her mother. This was all a set up for disaster, and it's a story that isn't shared easily with anyone, not even her closest friends.
♠ From her point of view she would tell you "It's nothing important," or something along the lines of "I am unscathed." A habit of lying about the day she lost part of her soul, the day she gave up everything just to survive. The day could be described as long slow, and dry. A hot summer day beaming down on a driveway that was paved in a way that an egg could be fried on it. A young fox would easily be able to break a sweat when it came to working in a hot garage. Though a soft summer heat could claim good memories, the hard efforts of a young tween would not bode well with a man as harsh as nails.
♠ Emiko's heart would be torn to pieces. A solid figure of dark fur catching her in a vulnerable position. From this moment in time things would be a blur. A fight of loud proportions, and screaming that could tear the ears of any furry. A flash of fur and a chase took a foot. He had gotten a hold of one of the shop tools, a sharp star ended tool bit, of the large end in size. She wouldn't be able to run to mom this time, and the dark figure, her own father, did something that should not ever be done. She only managed to get away from this man by the luck of the tip of her tail. To this day the events are shaky to her, and even thinking about this event pulls her into a dark place. The star shaped scar a crossed her eye can only be seen clearly when she closes her eyes.
Extra 1 & 2 :: Childhood♠ a life of a child is something so precious that many lose sight of its importance. If you were to put Emiko’s childhood in a bottle, you would get something you would not want to drink. Not that she was abused, or severely mistreated, but unlike many other parents hers were insistent that she never leave the house. It is a fear of many to be trapped in the home, unable to make friends, and unable to find your true self outside of the bedroom you were raised in.
♠ If you met Emiko you would find an adventurous child who wanted nothing more than to build and explore the world. She had a brave heart and a strong belief in the positives of the world. She was strong willed and loved her parents beyond belief. From the long days at work with her mother in the house, to the afternoons where she would spend time with her father, she was happy for this.
♠ Her mother was a house mom. Emiko’s mom is a reserved quiet fox whom doesn’t speak up to anything. She is kind and selfless, and works hard at protecting her child. So much so that she is the one true friend her child has. She always follows what her husband requests and is a bit unspoken to her own opinions. So far that the relationship seems a bit off, but there are obvious times when Emiko’s father shows real love and care for her. She home schools Emiko, and assigns chores to her child that almost work the poor kit to bed, but Emiko still finds free time despite this.
♠ The father of the family is the provider. Ninety percent of his time is spend working very hard at his mechanic job and always coming home late. He rarely sees his family, however it shows that he cares about them when he takes time off for birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays when possible. He is however strict and aggressive. He avoids using this on his family, and rather uses it on his co-workers and those that annoy him whom he doesn’t know. While this aggression is one of the many things that has severely affected Emiko over the years of their life together, she still idolizes him yet distastes him at the same time when she got older.
♠ Emiko’s life was to wake up rather early and clean her small room, clean herself, eat, and immediately start her home schooling. She learned a lot from her mother, and always found the woman to be extremely intelligent, something that she picked up on rather quickly in her life. She used her intelligence to build amazing things from small motor controlled toys of the simplest form to working on dad’s car in the afternoons when she had the free time to do so.
♠ The young fox only got to know others after the incident with her eye. She had ran away from her home that day. She ran far from home and didn’t stop till she was tired. She met a young furtopian in the far forest who taught her how to survive, and eventually she used that to get herself on her feet and find a life of her own. Rather than settling down she took her strengths and took to the road. Finding, and obtaining a motorbike that she rides to this day. It became her pride and joy. You could find her on her free time modifying it or riding it. She loved being free.
♠ However the lack of socialization changed her severely. She became highly isolated from others, and a bit level headed. She didn’t trust people, and often showed a frown to others. The lovely name that her mother gave her back when she was a young child was null when it came to how she was shaped as a furry anymore. The meaning of the “
smiling, beautiful child” became a fox with heavy barriers and a serious outlook on life. She found herself always wanting to keep moving forward and expressing herself as a solo adventurer whom didn’t do things for others in the least. While her persona was a dramatic change from her childhood she is still loving and sweet to those she truly cares about, and while she can be snarky and even cruel at times, she shines when it comes to knowledge and her love for building. Emiko Barahime will keep going till she isn’t able to move anymore, and then even push even further. She is strong, loyal, intelligent, and adventurous. Don’t mind her cold hearted look on life and lack of trust to those she doesn’t know. Give her the time and even you will fall for the princess of roses.
