kalon name: ghost
gender: female (she.her)
dream: she saw something.
it was a door, outlined by light shining through the cracks. as if she was a different person, ghost watched herself open the door and step through. she followed herself to the door.
ghost stepped through the doorway and squinted against the blinding light. she closed her eyes and squeezed them tight to not be blinded anymore.
after waiting with her eyes closed for what felt like hours, ghost opened them. she was in a completely different environment, a waiting room. ghost, in spite of herself, smiled. there was a plush red carpet, fancy wallpaper, and large couches adorning the room. dream ghost walked across the carpet, loving how her paws sunk into the fabric as pranced her way to a chair opposite the attendant's desk. ghost lounged about, relaxing in the chair while observing the large room. the bright lamps on every wall, the crystal chandelier that swung gently back and forth on the ceiling.. everything seemed too good to be true. but if she sat there, what could happen?
suddenly, ghost was back into her floating self, observing her body relax in the chair. as she floated about, focused on her own self,
she moved. ghost's body stood up and padded to the dark, shiny wooden desk at the front of the room. and just as the cashier noticed her, she was back in her own body.
ghost stood up, n placed her paws on the desktop. the attendant looked at ghost's paws scornfully. with a raised eyebrow, she opened her mouth to scold her. suddenly...
shooo
all of the light in the room went out. ghost kept her paws on the desk. she looked around, but couldn't see anything.
she heard something.
a small noise, nothing big. it was a...
scritch scritch scritch
ghost slowly turned back around, her breathing growing faster. and as she faced forward, she looked up at where the attendent used to be. there were two glowing red eyes, and a large, looming maw of gleaming sharp teeth. it stretched taller than ghost, and wider than her entire body. thinking fast, ghost turned to run...
but found she couldn't move her legs at all. she frantically waved her arms, hoping to move her further along, but it was like she was moving through honey. she could hear the great beast slithering across the floor, then hundreds of legs clacking. she felt the hot breath against her back... when it all stopped. glancing back, she didn't see the mouth anymore. in fact, she wasn't even in the same room. now, she was standing on a small, thin, already cracking piece of a rock ledge. the wind was whistling around her as ghost looked at the grey sky, dotted with sparkling blue stars. ghost gulped, the rock freezing cold against her paws. standing up, she gripped the rock, trying hard to stay on. but she was facing outwards, and it was very difficult to find a grip.
ghost squinted as a wind whistled around her, the cold frost stinging her cheeks. ghost was looking straight ahead but risked a quick glance down. down, down down.
far, far below were the choppy, black waters of an angry ocean. the thunderous swells of water hit the huge rock, shaking it with a mighty
roooaaar
ghost screamed as a last, huge wave hit the rock, causing her to lose her grip. she braced for impact as she plummeted towards the waters below.
nooooooooooooooo...
ghost sat up in her bed, breathing heavily. her heart raced, and her eyes were wild. then, realizing she wasn't going to hit the waters and drown, she sighed. closing her eyes, she focused on slowing her breathing.
it was just a dream. just a dream. just a dream...
