Nasir was visiting his special mare when the other unicorns were attacked. When he found out about the fate of his family and acquaintances he was grieved, but it didn't touch him too personally. He felt terrible that his species had been mostly wiped out, but he had never known true kindness from his family, or the few unicorns he had grown up with.
Sometimes he felt guilty though, for having not been there.
But he made a new life and home with the mare he loved, even though she wasn't a unicorn.
Maybe because Unicorns were a special species, or maybe because he had weaker powers than most, Nasir's foals never showed unicorn powers and had no horns, though one was born with a unicorn tail . . .
When his mate died Nasir lived alone the rest of his life, never taking another mate.

Okay, I was a little confused with elements, are some for Unicorns or some for alicorns? Or do Unicorns just heal?
