A familiar saying goes "Curiosity killed the cat." this statement is especially true heart merxats, who live in the most curious place of all; the ocean. The dark waters seem to go down forever, and any curious creature may feel the temptation to explore deep areas. unfortunately, the deeper you swim, the more dangerous it gets. Equinox, after having lost too many friends and family to the monsters who live in the depths began to gather bioluminescent life forms (mostly algea, but occasional jellyfish as well) he took the natural light that grew on theses life forms and formed them into stunning jewelry. Although theuay look nice, their main purpose is safety. when someone wants to explore the deep waters, or dark caves, or any other unsafe location, he makes jewelry for them so that they can see the sea monsters which need to be avoided, so that they can know where they are going and be able to find their way back. he also has a store of algea that turns red to scare off any kind of creature that may try to attack. Once their curiosity is settled, it's not uncommon for merxats to return the jewelery he made for them. he wears all returned jewelry in remembrance of the merxats he was able to protect.
