★ What is a Celestial Dragon? ★
Celestial Dragons(CDs) are a small breed of dragon, closely related to Fu Dogs. They have a silky, ethereal mane that swirls and shines like a galaxy. They vary in size from a small fox to a large dog, and are covered in a thin coat of soft fur. Their pupils are star shaped, and every CD has a star marking in their coat or mane. Please make sure to read the species rules before trying out!

Simple design semi-based off of whales and pirates. I wanted to try out a randomly generated palette, and I'd say it turned out well~

For this contest, I'd like to sea some nice ocean gifs (ha), as well as writing or art about how they feel about the ocean. Word limit is 800, and artwork cannot be animated or a comic. Artwork does not have to be made by you, but do not use gift lines or bases.

(since I feel they are necessary)
- Be respectful of your competitors.
- Make sure you keep the species' rules in mind. You will be automatically disqualified if you do not follow them.
- No rude or passive-aggressive comments if you do not win.
- Any and all questions about the competition may be PM'ed to me.

Abyss loves the ocean, but he has a fear of what lurks in the depths of the water, waiting to drag him under with any chance given.
But on the other hand, he enjoys the sounds of ever night and the waves crashing onto shallow water. Not to mention that the objects that are washed up on shore that are worth collecting. Like sea glass, for example. Abyss also likes the way the sun shines onto the water, reflecting back onto the surface of the dangerous waves, and with the afternoon and evening sun saying goodbye through the surface of the water, and not to mention how the moon shines onto the surface, making the ocean react by making waves that say hello as they rise and goodbye as they crash.

He also views the ocean as a powerful being and the world of the great, beautiful and dangerous sea critters. However, he'll throw curses at the sea for washing up creatures that don't belong on shore, and then curse out at the ocean for whoever was out there to harm such critters, -other than jellyfish-.

One of Abyss' dreams is to travel the great seven sea to see what he can find and what would await him on the journey. He had heard folklore about mermaids and mermen living out in sea, saving the pirates (sailors) from certain death from the storms and the debris of crashed ships. However, some say that they will kill the sailors. But another say that if you sail near the Bermuda Triangle, your ship-craft will disappear without no trace. That's what Abyss fears the most out of the ocean. But it won't stop him from living the dream on the seven seas.

"I was sailing when the voice called me, the voice of the love of my life. It was the sea who was calling me, 'er voice so sweet and velvet soft. It called to me like a song, a praise song for my faith. Though I had my lady back at home, a sweet blue eyed girl, who's name was Maisy. Leaving without her and watching her waving at me from the port was a pain. But wanting to sail for the rest of my life was worse. The decision was hard, with my two most beloved things were at stake. But I knew that the sea could not hare its warmth in cold nights, I knew it could not help me make peace with my mind, I knew it could't compare to my lovely lady. Her smile could just brighten up my day, and her kindness was just free to anyone who needed a friend. Yet she only had eyes for me, from the very beginning since 'us' was our moto. I had to return to her, to smell her star gleaming mane close to me. I needed to look her in the eye and say 'I love you' and kiss her hello. By the time I finally got the chance to I thought it was to late for our love as she looked up at me in tears, all doubt was erased as my girl wrapped her hands around my neck an made us fall to the wooden floors of the port. Her light chocolate fur brushing against mine as we praised each other with our words and tears. I was where I was meant to be"

extra; Kio is not his father. Kio refuses to be his father. He hates the man, resents him even, and thus spends his life on the sea.
His father used to tell him to stay away. "Git away from there," he'd snarl, gripping Kio by the scruff of his neck to drag him back. The young dragon would always be hurt, and would always be drawn back to the waves, only to be roughly thrown back again and again. Needless to say, it didn't take him long to decide to run away from home.
He loves living off the ocean. She is a cruel and powerful beast, but she provides everything he needs. Food, water, and a mildly safe home he can spend the rest of his life in. Once he got over the initial seasickness that came with it, he's actually pretty content.
So here he is, away from his father and with a belly full of seafood, curled up on the deck of his ship and watching the sunset. He yawns once, and drifts off to sleep to the sound of the waves.
