A Little Backstory:No on quite knows where or to whom Anahita was born.
She appeared one day among a herd of horses and has traveled from herd to herd ever since.
Some suspect she is a demi-horse, one parent being a normal horse, the other being one of the immortal legendary horses of old.
Her unique facial markings made her stand out immediately among other horses and she always seemed wise beyond her years.
She was, and is, a traveler. Wherever she goes she finds horse and gives them advice, often helping them with their problems. Anahita says that she has known from her first day on the earth that that is her purpose, to help and guide other horses. At first no one wanted to listen to her, but when the things she said were seen to be true she earned a reputation and became known as "The Wise One," but also as "The Judge".
For all the good advice and wisdom she gave, Anahita would also give judgement to those who did not heed wisdom, hurting or endangering other horses with their folly.
When a dispute came up between herds, or two individuals, Anahita would be called upon to judge between them and come up with a fair solution.
Personality:Anahita is a wise horse, at times gentle, kind, and compassionate, but don't let this side of her nature fool you, because she can just as easily be hot-tempered, harsh, and she will give you the truth, no matter how good or bad it is.
Anahita is usually seen as a motherly sort of horse, kind to the horses she guides but also tough, expecting them to do their best.
Anahita seems to have a divine sort of patience with foals, never letting their antics bring out her temper, but with older horses she can be far less patient, expecting them to behave and act as they know they should.
Overall Anahita expects the best from other horses, but she is also no hypocrite.
She expects no less from herself and is very hard on herself for every little mistake. Sometimes she feels like no one sees her as another horse, instead seeing her as some divine being. But she too has to wrestle with right and wrong, figuring out who she is and what she wants from life. As much as she likes helping others and traveling she secretly longs for a herd of her own where she belongs. A family. But she doesn't want to go to a herd where she won't be treated just like any other horse.
She is also very social, though she sometimes struggles with her own personality swings. She is a moody sort of horse, sometimes switching from one mood to the other in seconds.
Her temper, when it emerges, can be very harsh and she often regrets her actions when her temper dies down.
Though she seems to be able to understand other horses situations with a clear head she sometimes struggles to figure out herself and her own problems.
This frustrates her and she wonders if other horses would so readily follow her advice if they knew of her own imperfections.
How Others Perceive Her:Most horses seem to think she is some divine being. Her unusual markings alone make them feel both wary and amazed at the same time.
She tends to come across as quiet but with a personality that stretches miles in two directions, one side being calm, gentle, and diplomatic, and the other being hot-tempered, harsh, and even frightening.
Though that is just because of her personality many think it points to her being like the horses in ancient tales, born of the elements and earth, the original ancestors of all horses.
This, of course, is untrue. While no one really knows where she came from she doesn't appear to be immortal, at least, not entirely.
Unfortunately, these first impressions tend to cloud other horse's views of Anahita, making it hard for them to move beyond the image they have formed of her to see who she really is.
(The picture above is her as a foal when she tried to cover herself in mud to hide her markings) How does she handle how others treat her?:When she was younger Anahita rarely spoke and she smeared her face with mud to hide her markings in hopes of being treated like a 'normal' horse.
But in the end she realized that she couldn't hide and she should be proud of who she was, even if she was different from the other horses around her.
She ended up embracing herself, appearance and personality.
She still struggles with it a lot, especially with her mood swings, but she is much more confident in herself now and tries not to let herself go back to those times when she was too ashamed to even show her face.
(May pretty up a bit but this can be considered complete if judging takes place before I get a chance to)
