Favorite winter memory:
now, despite his pelt color, tybian doesn't particularly enjoy winter. slushy snow, freezing weather, blizzards, dangerous roads.
however, even though he dislikes this season, he still recalls one of his fondest - and bittersweet - snow-filled memories.
it was the last time he'd seen his older brother. they were outside in their front yard, giggling as they built a snow fort. xavier was leaving for college that day. it was still early-morning, before the rest of the neighborhood had woken up.
tybian dove into a massive pile of snow, flinging handfuls of the slushy stuff at his brother. xavier was laughing, too, as he dumped snow onto ty's head.
they spent the rest of the morning making an intricate snow-gator, before xavier finally announced that he had to leave. tear-filled goodbyes and promised phone calls later, he drove off.
it was an hour later when they got the call.
xavier had skidded off the side of the road, and had died upon impact when his car slammed into a tree.
ever since that horrid day, tybian has held disdain for icy weather, though, sometimes, he looks back on the memory with a sad smile gracing his face.
