Pia adores cooking. The obsession began in her youth, as she frequently cooked traditional dishes with her mother and spiralled into being her ideal career. Unfortunately she can't find work in the catering community so her hobby is confined to her home, where her shelves are occupied by various spice racks and rows of herb planters. Her favourite dishes to cook are hearty family meals such as pastas and pies that can be bagged and shared with her neighbours later. Burns and knife scratches mar her hands from where she slaves away in her kitchenette, being a talented chef doesn't prevent her from being clumsy after all.

in her youth she suffered from an onslaught of bacterial meningitis which rendered her both permanently deaf and mute. she pledged herself to learning sign language, and she discovered she had an extremely comprehensive grasp of languages. She can currently sign in English and German, and is learning how to sign in Italian, though she often gets the movements confused with similar languages. She aspires to become skilled enough to host a language class, mainly so she can trick people into practising with her.
