Lifetime Milestone wrote:I ran up ahead, looking at the beautiful patterns the sun made on the ground when it managed to sneak past the foliage above. I heard a bird chirp, and looked up, turning around to try and spot it. There it was! It was a little songbird, sitting on a branch high above and blessing the world with it's simple but beautiful melody. I looked behind me, waitng for Luka and Mom to catch up. They came around the bend, and I waited for them to catch up before bounding ahead again, this time Luka following me. He laughed, and a look of sheer joy came across his face.
"C'mon Ark!" Luka called playfully to me as he went right in between my legs, and skipped ahead of me. I watched him, smiling,
and thought to myself. Luka always said he didn't mind being PPS, but I think that deep inside he always wishe dhe could be normal.
His beautiful spiraling pattern on his fur was amazing, but I wondreed what it would look like if he had been normal. Eh, no use thinking about that now. Now was a time for fun and laughter on Luka's first camping trip. I took Mom's paw as she came up beside
and we walked togethre and watched Luka franticlly chase a butterfly that was just out of his reach. JI smiled again, happy that my little brother was so cheerful and excited.
"Luka! Wait up for us!" I called to him, as he was just turning around a new bend in the winding path through the forest. He stopped for a moment, and then ran back to us. "Okay Ark, big BossyPants." He teased, grinning. I grinned back, and saw what beautiful trees were behind us. "Hey mom! Wanna take a picture with you and Luka, with your camera." I said, cocking my head. This would be a great way to remember this trip, and we would alway streasure it. Mom nodded, before taking a small camra out of the little satchel she carried slung over her shoulder. I stood away from them, then turned around, to block the sunlight and see wich button was the 'On' button. As soon as I found it, I turned around to take their picture, and saw an animal behind them. It was small at first,
before it stood up on it's hind legs. It looked at me, and in that moment I knew I was at a crossroads. In a split second, I turned around and dashed up the path, heaing the sounds of screaming and a large roar behind me. Once I realized what I was doing,
I skidded to a halt, and whipped around, eyes frantic. What was I doing?! I didn't even warn them! Hurry back, and you can still try to save them! But even in my head, I knew I would be too late. I crumpled to the ground, digging my paws into the soil and sobbing. If only I hadn't been so selfish that I put their life before mine! If only I had given them warning! If only I hadn't taken the picture! If only...
Personality wrote:Ark is a gentle giant, strong and big, but very timid and shy. He is usually very kind to people, and always puts their safety before his, because he is always thinking about the story of how his only family died. He still blames himself,
refusing to let go of the past. He doesn't have many friends, but is known as a kind Viscet to anyone that meets him. He has no living family, and still morns his deceased ones as if they had just recently died. he is not afraid of many things, and can appear invincible to many that see him. He hates to harm anyone, and will offer any and all help he has to give in times of need. he is brave on the outside, but tear-streaked on the inside.
