Fesa's favorite moment was a quiet day in late December. She and her best friend, Calisto, were taking a quiet walk talking about their new years resolutions.
They had been best friends a long time and always spent New Year's day together. Truth be told Fresa had liked him as much more than a friend for some time, but lately he had found new friends and grown distant. Fresa half hoped that for the first time she might have a love interest to spend time with this New Year's eve.

That day Fresa noticed that her friend seemed to be acting oddly, so she asked what was wrong. He shuffled his hooves and looked down at the ground then he muttered something quietly.
Fresa asked what he had said, then he suddenly looked up at her and blurted out that his New Year's resolution was to spend more time with Fresa and to apologize for having let himself drift away from his old friends the previous year.
Fresa was surprised by his announcement, truth be told she had hoped maybe to hear something else, but she forgave him on the spot, reassuring him that he would always have her friendship.
He had given her a kind of funny, lopsided smile then said that he sure hoped so, because she was definitely the best friend he had ever had or ever would.

That New Year's eve the friends spent the evening with their friends talking over old times and having fun, and Fresa realized that she hadn't needed an admission of love, or a love interest for her perfect New Year, and she realized just how precious her friendship with Calisto was, and for the time it was all she needed.

Echo's favorite moment last year was one that began with chaos, betrayal, and mayhem.

The day started off like most days. Echo had woken up to the sun shining and everything in the place she called home in complete peace and tranquility. Little did she know that her whole world was about to change. The day made a turn for the worse when someone very close to Echo betrayed her loyalty and trust. And to think that she had once called them her friend. The betrayal emotionally scared her. Her friends decision to betray her forced her to leave her home of peace and tranquility and leave behind all the equines she loved and held close to her heart.

For hours and hours she wandered on, roaming the regions beyond her home. She missed it dearly but she knew she could never return after such a horrific betrayal. Just as she thought things were beginning to look up for her, they got worse again. She had found a little area that was quiet and off the beaten path where she could finally rest peacefully. This, however, did not last for very long. She was bitten, kicked at, and chased off by a territorial mare. After putting a lot of distance between herself and the territorial mare she was sure that nothing worse could happen. She was wrong.

While voyaging on, further and further from her original home, she stumbled into a giant pit that had opened up in the ground in front of her. She tried for hours to get out of the hole, but with no avail. Just as she was about to give up trying to leave the hole, the face of "a ghost" appeared and she freaked out internally and externally. Once she realized it was not "a ghost" but an equine that had happened to stumble upon her trapped in the hole she calmed down very quickly. With the aid of the "ghost" she was finally able to get out of the hole.

Once she was out of the hole she was clearly able to tell that the "ghost" was just a simple cremello mare. The cremello mare thought it was quite amusing that she was mistaken for a "ghost". After a good laugh, the mare introduced herself as Fria and told Echo that she was more than welcome to accompany her to where her herd was. Echo was a little skeptical but agreed because she was exhausted. Upon meeting the rest of the herd, Echo was taken in almost immediately. She felt secure and safe with them. She felt as though she had a family again which made her heart warm inside.

After a day that just kept getting worse and worse, Echo had finally found something good to come from all the bad. That day is her favorite moment from last year because she lost dear friends but gained a new lifelong family.
