plumies owned: I own 2 plumerians, Orrick (#26) and Amitola (#303). They're two of my most cherished characters, probably the two that get the most attention. I have no fursona, so when I get art or write it's practically always of my two lovely plumies.
why I want her: I've always loved this babe, but I didn't have time to try for her originally. I am absolutely stoked that I get a chance to try for her now, though!! Her color palette is one of my favorites, and I love her almost tribal markings so much. I'm a big fan of tribal markings and I love that some of her markings mimic tribal markings, but are also softer and less jagged than a lot of them. The pink accents work so well for her, too. Don't even get me started on the hair; it's simply to die for with that cute little star, the pink highlights and that little braid (all some of my favorite things). Her design lends itself to a personality and overall character very easily, and I'm very excited to develop her even further if I win!!

what I plan to do with her:
First and foremost, Giselle will be loved like crazy. I just adore her design and everything about the character I've created, so she will definitely be used frequently. I'll continue to develop her, through short stories and just writing up her response to random scenarios. If I can find some good roleplay partners, I'll even develop her with other plumies through roleplaying. She'll have plenty of writing and development, if you can't tell, but she'll also have plenty of art. I can't promise it will be the most art a character has ever had since I'm broke and can't often buy commissions, but I can promise I will draw her often (and hopefully get some great art of Giselle through art trades)!! She has a side to her that is very much a dreamer (as you will read further into my form), and that side of her loves to sketch and have lucid dreams. I'm going to try to make a digitial sketchbook in my stash for her, and might even start it for my form if I have the time. I'm also trying to get better at drawing backgrounds, so hopefully I'll be able to draw some of her dreams eventually.

Giselle believes firmly that a person's personality is the only thing that should matter. She's met her fair share of beautiful, rotten people, so she knows that beauty is only skin deep. However, she doesn't necessarily have any qualms about dating someone rotten. The only thing really important to her in a relationship is being loved completely for who she is, both good and bad.

Giselle owns two of her own night clubs, Saturn's Ring and Pluto. She uses them, in part, to aid in her smuggling and other illegal activities. However, they typically are only used to aid in her criminal behavior as a last resort and occasional meeting place. It's very important to Giselle to run her businesses as straight as possible, much to the dismay of some of her more unpleasant business


partners. She sticks to the night club business in the night clubs despite their thoughts on the matter, though, and even makes sure to kick out any customers that have anything illegal with them.

As far as smuggling and thieving goes, she has a very strict code of conduct. She leans more towards smuggling to actually stealing because of the higher risk involved in stealing, but she does thoroughly enjoy planning and executing heists. Even though she prefers smuggling, she will do either for the right price. Giselle won't smuggle weapons other than knifes, swords or historical weapons; anything more serious and she won't go near it, no matter the price. Almost all of the things she deals with are types of stolen art or stolen artifacts, stuff that wouldn't be illegal if it weren't stolen property. She's one of the best smugglers in the world, and definitely one of the most respected among other criminals. It's a feat that Giselle has had to fight tooth and nail to accomplish, working twice as hard as others just to get the respect they have automatically because they're men.

She would hate for most people, especially her partners, to find out that she's currently in college. In fact, Giselle hates the idea of it so much that she pays off professors to be able to attend their classes without officially enrolling in the college. Her business partners are mostly gruff-type men, and Giselle simply couldn't let them find out she's in college. Art college, of all colleges. She prefers to stifle her creative side anyways, preferring organization, practicality and realism to imagination. Giselle's creative side is part of the reason

she's such a good smuggler, though, since she can come up with more innovative solutions to problems than many of the other smugglers.

Giselle is very much an independent, solitary type of person. She's learned that the only person you can ever depend on all the time is yourself, so that's pretty much how she lives. Doing things on her own and not needing help is a source of pride for her, and she is often unwilling to ask for help should she need it. In fact, Giselle would rather just be left alone most of the time and can get easily annoyed during social situations.

She is quite taciturn and greatly prefers not to speak to most people, and is never forthcoming with anything she deems too personal (which is just about everything other than business). She hates exposing even the smallest thing about herself, as it makes her feel nervous and vulnerable, so she tends to be very secretive and even cryptic at times. Because of her secrecy, most people only learn about her through observation. She tries not to reveal anything too damning through her actions, though, so even by observation there is only so much you can learn about Giselle.

Even when involved in business, Giselle prefers to let her partners do most of the speaking. If she feels the deal is going poorly or her partner is simply not saying the right things, she will step in and do the talking. Whenever she does speak to others, she does so in a highly sarcastic and blunt manner. She tells it how she sees it and doesn't care to sugar coat it or even bother to say it without attitude. She can also be tremendously mocking, especially in a business situation where the other party is being a pain in the butt. Giselle isn't forthcoming with her emotions, either, preferring to bury any emotions as deep as she can. Emotions, or emotional stress, are never something that she lets others see, giving her a reputation for being very stoic and cold.

Despite wanting to be left alone most days, Giselle is a natural born leader. Others find it easy to follow her, which is good because she would never follow someone else due to some issues with authority figures. Even in high pressure and stressful situations, she keeps a clear mind and is always decisive. She can make a decision quite quickly and with ease, and rarely has second thoughts about a decision after it's made. After making a decision or forming an opinion, there is little anyone can do to sway Giselle. She has a stubbornness that is practically unrivaled, and will stick to an opinion, decision or plan unless she absolutely has to change it.

Giselle is also very aggressive. She is always ready for a fight or any type of confrontation, and won't back down. The less she knows about a person or situation, the more aggressive she tends to be. Her aggression can quickly escalate, especially when annoyed, stressed or dealing with unfamiliar people. Her general personality is very forceful and assertive, making it hard for others to warm up to her and easy for them to fall into line behind her. It's large part of the reason she is seen as a leader and a dangerous person to cross.

She has absolutely no patience, and hates even the smallest of waits. Waiting just makes her completely nuts, whether it's waiting in a coffee line, waiting for her computer to start up or waiting on a partner to show up for their meeting. Giselle has even less patience when it comes to people, and often snaps at people for being over zealous or otherwise obnoxious. She is impatient concerning stupidity and mistakes as well, believing there is no room for them, regardless of who made them or why. Her success-oriented personality is partially to blame for her extreme impatience. Giselle can't stand failure, and she often finds that the best reward is succeeding in whatever endeavor she's taken on.

Intelligence is something that Giselle values greatly, and she makes it a point to further her knowledge at every opportunity. Her intelligence makes out-smarting the law and anyone trying to enforce it a breeze, and should she be caught doing something illegal she could likely manage to get out of that as well. However, it's highly unlikely that Giselle will ever be caught breaking the law, as she is an exceedingly cautious and strategic person. Whenever planning to smuggle or steal something, she makes insanely detailed and thorough plans. Her plans even account for several variables, making them a favorite among the criminal community; many thieves will pay a high price to have her plan their heist.

If she is involved in a heist, Giselle tries to keep to her plan as closely as possible, but can adapt quite well if needed. She has absolutely no problem adjusting her plan or coming up with a completely new plan on the spot. This is mostly due to her highly observant nature and the intense research that she does during the planning phase. Giselle is realistic, though, and knows when the whole operation has been blown. She can also tell if a heist will likely be impossible during the planning phase, and has no qualms about turning down an offer to help plan something she thinks will get them caught.

There is practically no option she won't at least explore in order to help her night clubs and illegal activities. She is also very dedicated and loyal to the few friends that she does have, and Giselle is always willing to go to the ends of the earth for those she cares about.

While she is typically very gruff and not well-mannered, Giselle can definitely turn on the charm whenever she needs to. She can schmooze like crazy if the situation calls for it, and so far there has been no situation that she hasn't been able to talk her way out of. She has somehow managed to appear pleasant and charismatic in the public eye, allowing her night clubs to thrive and her illegal activities to go unsuspected.

Organization is one of Giselle's top priorities, in both her personal and business lives, and she takes great pride in her tidiness. She has everything neatly organized and labeled, put away in desk drawers and folders and binders. It is very helpful for keeping up with her night clubs' records and revenues, as well as planning criminal outings. She is so obsessive about tidiness that even her handwriting is neat and perfect.

There's a side to Giselle that only her closest friends ever get to see. She is very much a free-spirited, dreamer type of person deep down and has very idealistic hopes. Giselle has to have a project to focus on or she goes absolutely insane, bouncing everywhere. It may seem out of character, but Giselle is quite sentimental. She tends to keep worthless objects that mean a lot to her, and she will always like a person more if she's had some sort of important experience with them. She wants to express herself more than she does, and desperately hopes that one day she will be care-free enough to do so. For now, the only way that she expresses herself is through sketching and painting, and she tends to hide her art from everyone. Giselle is unimaginably envious of people that are naturally expressive, friendly, happy people.
