Having been close since childhood, Baxter and Niklaus were practically attached at the hip. They were both seen as outcasts (to an extent) due to their abnormally small size, just teeny, tiny little creatures, but neither of them let that get in the way of constant happiness. Of course, their personalities clashed just a tad as Bax was often unintentionally rude and somewhat of a mischievous little fellow. Niklaus, on the other hand, liked making everyone smile just as he did himself and tried his best to stay out of trouble at all costs. After all, there was no point in acting like a hooligan if it'd just end in punishment via the elder viscets. So while their friendship was far from ideal and most looked down upon it, both were quite content, unwilling to give one another up for the world. (Well, that, and Nik didn't want Baxter to hurt himself too badly on accident without anyone around to offer some assistance... Ha!)

extra (writing): Since having been born, Baxter's acquaintances always described him to be... Mischievous. They'd more-often-than-not find him getting into places he wasn't supposed to (i.e. small holes carved into the trees), and his curiosity in terms of the unexplored went matched by no other. Despite this, surprisingly, Bax was rather clumsy, body sometimes scattered with dozens of small, harmless bruises at a time. And his over-protective behavior was no help as it'd often land him in obnoxiously loud arguments... Over food... Of course, those could also have been triggered by the young viscet's blunt attitude when it came to spouting what he thought to be the obvious. (Which, of course, wasn't always the case, and many found said attribute particularly rude.) All-in-all, however, he was quite kind, and his friends were always top-priority. So maybe Baxter was a bit crooked -- at least he made up for it in other areas of the board!

Alright, I've had the winner decided for a couple days now, but I haven't had the time to post it until now. Sorry about that, y'all!

That being said, for future reference, please do not bump a competition of mine unless it's been a week at the least! ;v; It really goes for any of the artists, especially if it's a big comp. Since this one was tiny, it's okay, but please avoid doing it so soon in the future! Thank you!

Alright, now:

HM stub x 1 will go to Just a Rainy Day. and +Dark Age+. Your forms were very cute, but lacked the effort that a couple others did. Regardless, I found the characters very likable and fitting to the viscet, and your forms still held some charm (plus, those gifs were just too cute!)

HM stub x 2 will go to blathma;;. I was honestly so stuck between you and the winner that I had to get some help from a couple other staff members! I wish I could give you an RU, but sadly, I made this when I was a trial artist, so I can only give out HMs. ;v; Your character was absolutely wonderful and he had a wonderful fundamental and relationship with Nikolai.

Finally, the winner is BluKitty53! Like I said, I had a struggle picking between you and blathma;;, but in the end we decided that your form was a little more developed and concise. I almost didn't choose your form, because the story, while well-written, was a little confusing as far as developing Kayla went. It appeared to be more about Lurk than Kayla, but in the end, it did seem to give Kayla a bit more depth regardless. Also, I wanted to say, in the future, perhaps offer a disclaimer to clarify whether or not a viscet included in the tryout belongs to you, someone else, or is a fake viscet. It was a little confusing on who Lurk was, but it wasn't a massive ordeal, so it's just a small tip! I made the same mistake before in a form of my own c:

Congratulations everyone else with HM's! I loved everyone forums, and I knew it was very close between myself and blathma;; , and I was on the edge of my seat waiting for this bab to get judged.

I do have to admit, I feel like I could have done better- just school and time caught up with me while in this comp and I panicked and I know that my form was a bit rushed :" and being kicked off of my computer when i was trying to finish up didn't help xC
I did really try though <3, I'm overwhelmed- so many new ideas for her already! >w<


I know the development wasn't the greatest either- her backstory was to explain why she is so mature and stubborn and snaps at most cets when she does, picking it up from a young age from lurk- but pester pushed some child back into her personality <3 I can't wait to put more detail into her relation, she one of my new faves and i'll care for her dearly~ thank you again! ;3;
