Why?;; the rain is calming. the wind is destructive. but the sun is just.. there. it's benevolent, beaming down and giving plants their energy to photosynthesize and letting light be visible. laurel, for one, adores the sun. she owns a garden herself and thinks that sunlight growing the buds into blooming, brilliant flowers is magnificent. even without looking at the plants in her yard, imagine a forest. the sunlight streaming through the thickly tangled branches of overhead trees and making the greenery flourish. it's just.. it's amazing.

Soon, the tall grass bowed down to the wind, clearing a path back home, while Amelie's chestnut hair cleared from her face. "Come back," the wind seemed to whisper, blowing away her worries and insecurities, until all that was left were those happy memories of not too long ago. While the manipulative sun remained above, looking down at them, the wind stayed by her side, guiding her back home to the family that loved her. The family that cared about her. The family that wanted her to come home. And only then did Amelie realize who the wind really was: her family.
