Username: Piefan - currently own one Viscet.
Name: Adrian
Gender: Male
Setting: He's deliberately made to fit into most settings in case of RPs/etc, but the one I had in mind is a modern, busy city-ish one.
Occupation: Policeman
GIF:
Personality: "Responsible" is the one word that most of his friends know him by, his primary defining trait. He's not perfect, of course - he has many subconscious biases; panic and fear can blind him to reason - but he's aware of (most of) his own faults, and he's very much willing to improve. Adrian will always, always face the consequences of his actions, no matter how unpleasant it may be or how small the mistake. He doesn't let his pride get in the way of duty or morality.
While he tries to be open-minded, he often crosses the line toward just becoming
fickle-minded. Adrian fears above all becoming overly obstinate, the kind of person who'll shoot down ideas just because they're new. He sometimes goes too far in the opposite direction, however. He'll abandon his beliefs with little persuasion, making him seem disloyal. He has his friends to keep him from doing anything too stupid, thank goodness, and he makes sure to consult them when making major decisions, especially moral in nature.
Taking that into account, he's surprisingly focused, with an unwavering sense of concentration. Without being told otherwise, he'll never abandon a goal, instead pursuing it straight to the end. He hates making light of what he views to be serious situations - which includes basically anything negative. Because of this, he's often viewed as a serious killjoy. You could say that this is true, but he certainly does have a sense of humour, albeit one that doesn't mesh with many others'. He loves puns and outdated memes most of all, but shies away from anything that could be considered offensive. Adrian doesn't want to hurt anyone, and he's always afraid that seemingly innocent jokes will result in someone getting uncomfortable.
"Boisterous" isn't quite the right way to describe him, but he's confident, friendly, and nearly always smiling. Definitely an extrovert, Adrian loves meeting new people and bonding with them. He might not be particularly less expressive or attractive, but he's naturally charming enough that this is a relatively easy task to him with most people. Around shyer or more reserved Viscets, he's a bit more awkward, as he relies mostly on mutual connection and understanding; he doesn't know how to deal with people who're unwilling to share their thoughts and feelings with him.

Already the city was stirring.
Lampposts lined the twilit pavement, bare save for the occasional stray animal. The dim sounds of the city - cars whirring, dogs barking - were audible, unnoticeable to any city Viscet, accustomed to them as they were.
One such Viscet stood by the window, leaning by his paws on its pane. His eyes were closed, ears erect as he listened to its subtle ambience. He was just a Viscling, really, with the wisdom and knowledge to match. He looked older, though, in that moment, all serenity and gentle smiles.
That is, until he opened his eyes and grinned like a maniac, pushing off from the window to run toward one of the sleeping bags in the room. "Hey, Pansy!" he whispered, shaking her. "Wake up. You gotta see this."
It took a moment before she awoke, and even then she was slow to rise, rubbing at sleepy eyes. "Adrian?" she slurred. "What time is it?"
Unfazed, he grinned. "Three, maybe? Maybe earlier; there isn't a clock in this room."
"Uh." Though she seemed to be trying to be polite, mild annoyance - bewilderment, even - was evident in her tone, noticeable even to the less-than-observant Adrian. "Is this what you meant when you said nobody sleeps at a sleepover?"
"Kinda. I wasn't gonna wake you up, but then I thought you might like it. You're always talking about nature and stuff."
She peered through the window, gaze dull and sleepy. "It's," she said, then paused. "What am I looking at, exactly?"
"The sky." He gestured broadly at the expanse above them. The sun had yet to rise; the clouds were tinted pink by the twilight.
"All I see are buildings. And a little bit of pink, but mostly buildings." With a slight frown, she twisted her head in an attempt to find the proper angle - the sweet spot - that would allow her to properly see what he had been so mesmerised by. "I'm short, I guess. You think we can go downstairs to get a better view?"
"Probably not." That, of all things, was what got his smile to fade somewhat. "Do you have a stool or something here? Or-"
"Nah, it's fine." A smile played on Pansy's lips as she lifted herself to the tips of her toes. It didn't help much, but it satisfied Adrian, at least. "I wanna move somewhere else when I'm older so I can actually see this stuff. No buildings and... stuff."
"That sounds so cool!" he exclaimed, and Pansy looked self-consciously at the other sleeping bags, fearing he'd woken someone up. Nobody stirred, though, and Adrian continued undeterred: "Like the countryside or something! I heard it's really cool!"
She seemed to be deep in thought - nodding wordlessly, she gazed at the window, and they stood together in the silence.

to be edited if time allows:
art should be more integrated into the form instead of just kinda being a footnote
develop personality a bit more - more in depth views on morality, other stuff (love, friendship, fate), the kind of traits he likes and the ones he doesn't.
refine writing a bit
try to find a way to integrate the occupation and setting and stuff into the personality to fit the rules better
