I would like to focus on the chesnut coat color, because for me, they are very hard to color, and get the right balance of red, orange and maybe even gold.

I like this example of a darker chestnut, because it has many different colors making up the coat, which some artists miss sometimes (Not you, BTW)

This is a flaxen liver chestnut sabino. I like this picture because of the mane and tail colors, and also because of the sabino patterns. The mane and tail examples are good, because they are also made out of more than one color, making it have deeper detail. Even if it is really subtle, a good tail fade is always awesome looking.

This example of a chestnut horse is my favorite, because the bright chestnut color is so hard for me to draw. Chestnuts often have a little bit of a glossy coat, which makes them a personal favorite, but they also have many different shades and varieties of chestnut for horses, making them hard to color correctly. I like this example of a chestnut because it has the gloss to it, and also it a beautiful bright chestnut

(P.S, i know this picture is photoshopped a bit, but it is only a background blur, not the horse color. )
