favorite season Rueben absolutely adores autumn! Every year, near the end of Thanksgiving day, he sneaks out into the woods near his house, scattering various trinkets amongst the amber leaves for the neighbors to search for later- as well as leaving sticky notes with hints to the next knickknack's location on various trees and rocks! Some of the younger plumerians believe that it had been a fairy or a supernatural being hiding said things, and while most of the participants have moved on from such fanciful beliefs, they made sure not to spoil it for the children who had decided to place their imagination over rationality.

And though whoever ended up uncovering the majority of such doesn't win anything other than their findings, the competitive yet fun nature of the game is more than enough for everyone to enjoy- including Rueben.

Cardinal's favorite season isn’t an official season, but the transition between two of them. She loves the time between winter and spring. She thinks its gorgeous when the first flowers are popping up from the patches of grass where the snow melted away first, and how the leaves of the trees start appearing once again, along with little buds of soon-to-be beautiful flowers. Cardinal considers the last week of winter and the first week of spring too be this “changing of the season” and while its going on, she tries to go outside as much as possible and take many pictures of the same plants and trees every day, so at the end of the 2 weeks she can see the development of the certain plants she was interested in. She takes the pictures yearly of the same plants and really gets to know them.
Many times when she goes out to take pictures, its very early in the morning and she ends up accidentally waking Katie. Katie sometimes makes it look like she’s still asleep so when Cardinal goes outside to take her photos, Katie can spook her by coming up behind her and cuddling her. This messes up some of the photos making them blurry or sideways when the camera gets dropped, but Cardinal doesn’t mind it at all and actually loves the cuddles she gets from her wife. Little Damon and Chase like to play around and photo bomb lots of the photos with silly faces.
While the rest of Cardinal's family goes outside during this time with thick coats, hats, gloves, and any other warm clothing, Cardinal doesnt get cold easily and usually only wears a light jacket. They think shes insane for not needing any warmth, and she always replies, "All the warmth i need is from my family"

favorite season cardinal's favorite season is definitely winter. this is because cardinal is a professional ice hockey player. a true canadian at heart, cardinal has been watching ice hockey with his father ever since he was just a very young plumerian.
how did he get into his ice hockey career?

you see, when he was young, cardinal was never too into sports, but boy was his father sporty. All the time, cardinal's dad would be watching whatever the heck was on tv that involved sports. That being said, his father was also very determined to get cardinal into sports to make him more athletic. when his father signed him up for pretty much every single sport you can ever think of, he bombed a huge majority of them.
the two sports that stood out the most, however, were ice hockey and snowboarding. however snowboarding was always his favorite.
it wasn't until one day in his teenage years when everything came crashing down.

cardinal was snowboarding with a few friends, and he was dared to do something stupid. like, really stupid. they were at the very top of a high and steep mountain on a freestyle course. his friends dared him to do a backside spin, but on the ends of his paws instead of the front. while back spins are considered an easy trick for snowboarders, it's necessary to keep all your weight on the front of your paws so you can actually make the jump without losing your balance and hurting yourself, but cardinal could never let down a good dare. so he gave it a shot, leaning all his pressure on the back of his paws, however this did not end well at all. cardinal ended up completely losing his balance mid-jump and was falling right on his back. luckily for him, the mountain was pretty steep, so he ended up being able to turn to his side before he hit the ground, and tumbled down the mountain. if he hadn't turned soon enough, he very likely could have been much more seriously injured than he already was.
after this incident, cardinal refused to go back out there. it took him quite a while to get over his fear, because before then, he just wanted winter to end and for the sun to come out and for the snow to melt. getting over his fear was not a quick and easy process,

soon after, he decided to try something else. that's when he remember ice hockey. that was his other favorite sport that he was so passionate about, so he decided to try out for his college hockey team. he was afraid it might be too late, but to his surprise, they absolutely loved him.

after that incident, cardinal went back to loving winter and enjoying all of the little commodities that came with it. every year, he can't wait for it to snow and get chilly all over again.

Riri's favorite season is Autumn. It is a season when she can be with her family, and just have good times with them. In the other seasons, she's not really cozy in the house with her family. In winter, everyone is rather distant. Spring, everyone is much too bouncy, excited for summer. Summer, everyone is doing things outside, like going to the beach. In Autumn, though you still go outside, you're more likely to stay with your family. And that is what Riri likes.

Card's favorite season is Autumn(Fall)! It's probably the only season that she thoroughly enjoys preparing some sweet pumpkin pie for the family, apple pie, you name it. Her favorite thing to make during the season, though, is cinnamon pumpkin pie. When she isn't making baked goods for her kids and darling wife, she loves to go outside when the leaves are falling from the trees and constantly makes an effort of fun for all of them by making leaf piles for them to jump in. Carving pumpkins is also a knack of hers, and she also enjoys binge watching spooky movies of any sort, whether cheesy or realistic during this time of the year (mostly cheesy if the kiddos are around) and loves to sit down and play video games with her wife and kids as well! Anything they'd like, really, she loves ones that would tie in and sort of relate to the feel of the season but she is open for anything.

It's not just the activities, but the feel of the wind on her back and the scent that carries through the breeze makes her feel genuinely at peace. The wind whistling through the leaves and stirring up rustles and even more falling leaves causes happiness and brings natural ecstasy. While rain isn't always fun to her, she'll enjoy it if it is a light and occasional sprinkle.

Her family is the center of her world, and she loves to spoil them with whatever sweets she can muster in this time- Halloween candy, pumpkin pie, caramel apple pops, pumpkin spice tea or coffee, you name it- and, not only that, she will more than happily give them all of the love she can provide and make sure they know that she loves them. Although she already does express her love outside of the season, she just loves being affectionate all the time!

When it's cold and snow just sticks to your fur in heavy clumps. How comforting it feels to be layered in blankets and sweaters with a hot cup of tea in your hands and your wife close to you. The happy cries of children running around, tossing snow wherever they go. Cardinal loves every inch of this season, from the bad to the good. The way it just brings her family together as they huddle for warmth.

favorite season// Annie likes Summer because, she thinks swimming and all those activities are really fun. But she really does miss school, and does need a break from college every once and a while. The one reason why she LOVES summer is because she can express her adventurous/fun side without missing any exams or being scolded. whoo hoo! and the excitement of school starting just makes her so happy.
