Name meaning;; Faina means 'light'. Faina sees herself as a normal Viscet, named after her coat. However, this is nowhere near correct. One night, a week before her coming-of-age (where a viscling in the pack is given their adult name), she was wandering in the woods around the territory when one of her packmates, a full-grown Viscet, ran by, pursued by a bear. The Viscet was always rather frail, and couldn't stand up to the grizzly bear just a few metres behind. Not wanting them to get hurt, Faina ran in front of the bear, distracting it from the Viscet it was chasing, and started running towards the ravine a little ways away from the pack territory, allowing the other Viscet to get away. Soon, after running for a while, she saw the ravine up ahead. The bear was almost upon her when she leapt over the gap, just reaching the other side and clawing her way up. When she turned, she saw the bear falling towards the rocks below. When her coming-of-age rolled around, the alpha gave her the name 'Faina'. She believed she was named after her coat, but she was named for the light in her heart that led her to risk her life for her packmates.

never cuts bread or food using a knife, believing food - and bread especially - to be a
gift given to her from the gods, and a knife should never attack it. she believes water
to be pure, so she would never go swimming, because she thinks she might dirty it.
because of her strong faith in the greek gods she counts on them for almost everything
she does. while other people might see something as random good fortune serendipity
sees it as a reward from the gods, or a gift. every morning and every night and some
times in between she prays to the gods for blessings of good luck - of serendipity - to
help her with her life. serendipity can find a blessing in many things, making her life
more positive: a pair of swallows swooping down from overhead means they cross the
divide, equally at home in heaven and earth. serendipity was named by a goddess her-
self - an unknown goddess, who had blessed her from birth. "may you always encounter
strokes of good fortune, serendipity," the goddess whispered to her, as she descended
