Dahlia was a little shy though, but that was mainly because some of the tolters she first met were rather frightening to a new born foal, tolters like Anon who she was pretty certain wanted to kill her when she first met him. So as I said she grew up rather normally though, that is if you find The Addams Family's way of raising children normal, which is certainly something I and I believe Dahlia would.
Relationship with Coomon: Dahlia has a difficult relationship with her father, mainly because she doesn't really see him as one, I mean yes he helped in her creation, which she is rather surprised about, since it meant that he would have had to stop thinking of cookies long enough to do so, but past that he didn't really care much for her. She didn't share his love for cookies, and by love it was definitely an obsession, she also didn't really have much interaction from him either unless it was about cookies. Coomon's obsession made it impossible for her to try to connect with him past the blood they shared, which she often regretted, so instead she really just tried to stay as far away from him as possible.
Relationship with Shelk: Dahlia's relationship with Shelk is better than with Coomon but still not really all there, this is mainly due to the fact that she doesn't see him enough to really build anything. Though she has been over to his stables a few times she doesn't enjoy it at all because of the way all of the horses look at her there, it is as if she is a Monster or something, and because her father is too scared to stand up for himself, he also never defends her, and this has cut Dahlia deeply as he is her dad and should protect her better than anyone else in the whole world.
Story of choosing:
Dahlia's parents weren't really there for her when she was little so instead she was sort of adopted by Stan and Anon, though as mentioned before it always looked like Anon wanted to kill her he and Stan were probably the best things for her because they made her feel normal, it was only when she wasn't with them that she knew she was different some how, she never really knew what made her different, until one day she caught her reflection in a car window, it was then that she realized how much of a monster she truly looked like and why everyone seemed to fear her. So the next day when she saw Stan she asked him why he wasn't scared of her, why he wasn't scared of the monster she obviously was, now of course one has to know that Stan loved Anon and well Anon was probably the scariest horse on the face of this Earth so it should come to no ones surprise that he laughed at this question. Dahlia was stunned by this reaction but Stan explained that although she looked different and scary to some that to him and Anon, even though he would never show it, it was what made her Dahlia, it was what made her the different, interesting mare that they loved. So it remained that the three of them were feared by many, loved by few but at least they knew they were never going to be outcasts to each other.
