Aimilía Elithi (Elitii)| Αιμιλία ελιτηι
Greek form of the Ancient Roman name Aemilia, meaning 'from the Roman family name Aemilius' - which was derived from Latin aemulus meaning "rival".
Elithi in Zulu means "the word", however this was not known until put into Google Translate and has no true meaning to Aimi or her family. It was inspired by the Greek Goddess for childbirth and midwifery Eileithyia, as in Ancient Greece Aimi's family were noted physicians and midwives.

Aimilía was subject to great horrors right from a young age, she never knew the chance to speak freely or do what she wanted. She lives in constant fear and is not trusting at all. She despises any males and has never learned to love, nor has she really been show it. Being treated as more of a slave than daughter, family life is something she'd rather not have, and if she does Aimilía swears to all the Gods that she will be a better mother than her own. She is a hardworking girl, and will never give up on helping those who truly need it. She would rather die helping the needing than die someone with regrets.

The family of Elithi had been living in the rural lands of Afghanistan as respected merchants and philosophers for thousands of years. Their unique genealogy can be traces back to the time of Macedonian invasion by Alexander the Great, where the ancient family had traveled from Greece to start a new life in the 'New World'. As the founding father, Antipater (Αντιπατρος), was one of the physicians Alexander took with him on his conquest, he moved his family to where it was thought the new Greece would be. After Alexander settled the city of what was then called Αλεξάνδρεια Aραχωσίας (Alexandria of Arachosia), Antipater grew to like the new lands and stayed behind. He continued to work as a physician to the other settlers and taught his many children the ways of medicine. Through the generations and many wars that would strike the city, the Elithi family continue to be great influences, having connections to many strings of power. Some of the children continue the family name and work with medicine, however most are merchants and farmers. The Elithi family had much control over the City until the late 1980's/early 1990's where Kandahār became a city of terror. It was during Aimilía's generation when the wars began.
Refusing to leave their ancient homelands, Aimilía's father stayed to defend his house and name. However, constant fighting between groups of people - which no one knew who was 'good' or 'bad' - left the family in extreme danger. It was during this time where Aimilía first began learning the ways of her ancestors. Her mother went through a difficult birth and being the oldest girl, Aimilía was the only one able to help her. She quickly picked up skills like wound care and treatment for common aliments using whatever she could find or trade for.

The sound of shells dropping on unsuspecting houses filled their ears. While the pain was far worse than anything else imaginable, Kynthia knew that if she made even a peep it would get her killed. Tonight's raid was one of the worst, and it was the perfect time to give birth. She clenched down onto the dirty straw mattress, while her daughter Aimilía ran around trying to find something to stop the bleeding.
"Mama! The blood won't stop!"
She flung back her head and forced the scream of pain to stay in her throat. Aimilía quickly jumped up and put a rag in her mother's mouth, ran to the window and came back.
"Mama, they're outside the house."
Beads of sweat dripped down Kynthia's body, and after one last push the child was out. Aimilía did her part with a kitchen knife, blunt but still usable, and wrapped the baby boy in a rag. She took a brief look at his hazel eyes before he was swept up by their still bleeding mother. Aimilía heard footsteps outside and knew they had to leave. She half carried her mother upstairs, out of sight, and waited for the men to go away.
The thick blood was dripping everywhere.

Because Aimilía was never able to go to school, partially because that schools had either been destroyed or converted into other things, she and her siblings had a lot of free time. While a majority of that was spent doing chores and helping their mother at the market, the rest was free for them to do what they pleased - and this was competitions. All of these competitions were 1v1v1 ect for however many children there were at the time. Aimilía favorite competition was one she was rather good at - pick pocketing. This competition was a little different in that they had to pair up, as to not get caught. Aimilía and one of her brothers paired all the time, and made such a good team. Aimilía used her good looks to lure the person in, while her brother swiftly grabbed what he could from the exposed pockets. After nabbing some things to trade, the children would go to the nearby pawn shop and trade their finds for toys, or in Aimilía's case, medical supplies. Aimilía would have to save her finds for weeks or months to get enough to trade for things like a small vial of morphine or clean syringes. But it was well worth it when she did.

First of all, I would like to apologize to anyone who was offended by my form or became upset because f it. This was not my intention and I wholeheartedly apologize for doing that. I tried my best to provide the most accurate information I could, but researching this topic is not something I want to do.
You can read about the City of کندهار Kandahār. in the link and to see what kind of hardships it has been subject to, and to understand which of the 'bad people' I'm trying to portray in Aimi's story.
