Amethyst was and still is a stone used for safety while traveling and for sobriety to keep from getting drunk. Amethyst was also called the stone of fire and passion while also related to the greek goddess of the moon Artemis who was known for being chaste.

Sorry I just wanted to include this as it pertains to the name, why I chose the name, as well as the meaning
