RoleSelf proclaimed obituary writer and record keeper. Others may know her as the Bone Snatcher. She collects bones from the fallen and the dead no matter how it happened. Whether it be a disease, old age, or battles, she collects bones from each of the fallen foxes in her clan. Her agile and swift body allows her to weave between the gaps so she can safely gather the bones in battles.
Afterwards, she etches in the deceased fox's history into the bones and strings them up to form chimes or sorts. Vel hangs them wherever the wind can rattle them, usually on the trees that surround her home. Other foxes may pay their tributes and leave gifts by the trees. She is always certain that the gifts remain undisturbed for the season before cleaning them up. Stories have been fabricated about her, but she doesn't mind much. They may say what ever they want, Velvila feels it's important to listen and remember the the dead, even if it's only one fox paying attention.
PersonalityVel is a determined, hardworking soul who will always see a task through no matter the difficulty. When the times are cold and grueling, she feels even more motivated to see it through. It's a trait that many foxes admire her for and many have came to know her in that light.
Her voice rings aloud whenever she is among the company of other foxes. Sometimes no one wants to hear what she says, but Velvila will make the decision to state it anyways. The truth and harsh thoughts must be vocalized for any sort of progress. If she feels like the problem must be stated, she has no problem being the one who says it.
She has since decided to live on the outskirts of the territory. Not banishment, but her preferred choice of solitude after a particularly tiring ordeal where she doesn't want to deal with others at the end of the day. Now, she provides a voice to the dead, so they may be heard and remembered of what they once were.
Fun FactHer favourite fruit is durian, well known for its scent. The pungent aroma persuades others not to visit her, but she loves the smell regardless of what others say and she adores the taste and creamy texture. Other foxes think of ridiculous stories about rotting corpses and such, but Vel thinks it smells extremely sweet. Unfortunately, she must travel long ways south in order to acquire the fruit, or convince a fox to fetch it for her since it's too cold for it to grow in her region.
