Riddle: A man walks into a restaurant. He orders albatross soup and he gets his soup. He takes one sip, and is so distraught he walks out of the store, buys a gun, and shoots himself. WHY??

Answer is under this and its going to be transparent and tiny because this is my favorite riddle in the world <3
He was on a vacation but his plane crashed on a small island. About 10 people survived the crash including him and his wife. The island had no food source but there were albatrosses all over it. The people tried to catch an albatross but they could not. They were all starving to death and needed food. His wife died of starvation first. The people on the island had no food and were forced to eat his wife if they wanted to live. He did not want to eat his wife but eventually got so hungry that he did not really know what was happening around him. The other people on the island did not want him to die so they made a soup out of his wife and told him it was albatross soup. He believed them and ate the soup without knowing it was his wife. He like the soup and a few days later they were rescued and got off the island.
When he walked into this restaurant and ordered the soup he was expecting for it to taste about the same. IT DID NOT. He realized that on the island the people had tricked him that he was eating ALBATROSS soup but he was really eating HIS WIFE. He was so distraught that he bought a gun and killed himself.

On the side table beside her bed, there is a glass full of water mixed with blood. What was the murder weapon, where is it now, and how was she killed?

The murder weapon was an icicle; it was the middle of winter! The woman was stabbed with the icicle, and the murderer turned, which is how the blood got onto the floor, and placed it in the glass to melt, destroying the evidence.

[the man did not walki outside and slowly freeze, there were events leading up to his death] a mouse came along, and the man shot at the mouse using a gun. he missed, and because of the silence, the loud noise of the gun made snow from the roof of the house he was standing next to fall on the man. the mouse ran away while the man was buried under a gigantic pile of snow, where he froze.
