Luke is a very special viscet. He isn't famous, he wasn't the first viscet on the moon, it's something far more extraordinary-
Luke is allergic to the sun. This condition is known as photosensitivity, an extremely rare condition indeed. As far as he
looks like a sunny viscet, he has never been outside without his protection gear and the ultra violet levels over 10.

Photosensitivity is a very impacting thing to have. If you have photosensivity, the sun is like your kryptonite. If you come
in contact with the rays the sun emits, many effects may happen, such as a loss of hair (or fur), flaking skin, extreme
irritation of the skin, dry eyes, and possibly death. It is very hard to have to deal with photosensitivity. You can only go
outside if the ultra violet ray levels are below ten, basically like 7:00 PM in most places. One who has photosensitivity
is called a "shadow child." They don't even have to be a child anymore to qualify in that name. Even indoor rooms
with the tiniest crack in the ceiling are dangerous and require a photosensitive being to wear their protective gear.

Photosensitivity is rarer than albinism. There are only about 7% of people in the world who have photosensitivity,

Back to Luke. Luke is commonly teased and taunted about his disability. He only has one friend, Reveille, who he gets
to meet with for only thirty minutes a day, which is when the ultra violet ray levels are below 10! Luke seems like a lonely
boy, but he has an understanding personality. He knows all these things he's required to do are for the best. Luke may
be majorly affected by this dreadful disability, but he has the right heart to go through it.

~ Shy~ Sweet~ Careful~ Predictable~

Shy~
Luke isn't very social. He only knows one viscet very well, who is none other than Reveille, his
only friend. He talks in a very soft voice, and never goes louder than a parakeet's shriek. Luke
is still learning grammar because he doesn't like public school, therefore it being a bit awkward
talking to him. He sometimes messes up during sentences, and that's why he doesn't like talking
very much. When Reveille is with him, Reveille does most of the talking and Luke nods his head.

Sweet~
Even though he doesn't like interacting too much, he sure can be a sweetie. Luke would never
hurt a fly, and is slightly defenseless. Luke is like one of those innocent boys who just wants to
have peace in the world and good grades. He doesn't ignore anyone, though it sometimes seems
like he does, because he doesn't respond to most others.

Careful~
Luke is very careful, maybe a little too careful. When he plays outside at night with Reveille, she
practically drags him across the state trying to get him to see something. Luke always looks left
and right and forward and behind him when he's moving around, therefore he is sort of a slow
poke. Reveille is very energetic, maybe too much for Luke, and she nay not be the best friend
for him, but she's something.

Predictable~
You can always infer that Luke will be looking around and being his day-dreamy self. You can
expect for him not to talk too much, and for him to mess up his sentences. Luke is very predictable.
This is why not many viscets want to be his friend. They like surprise and energy in their friends,
but Luke is too quiet and shy. Though Luke is very shy, he's a nice guy.

Carter only ever speaks backwards. It doesn't matter if he is talking to other Viscets or if he is yapping, barking, or cooing to humans, he always sounds like he is a recording being rewound. Though he doesn't realize that he is doing this and can understand what others say just fine whether they are talking normally or backwards too.

Personality (175 words): Carter is owned and was raised by a family with kids, so he loves children and playing games. He is fairly energetic and talkative. Everyone in town loves to listen to him, and he loves having them laugh with him. He enjoys having an audience and began telling both jokes and long adventure stories when he was still rather young. He likes Viscets fine, but prefers the company of humans because other Viscets seem to have a harder time understanding him while humans are use to the funny sounds animals make and can therefore usually decipher what he is trying to say. Even though he sometimes has a hard time communicating, others can always understand what he means when he is trying to make them feel better. He might be a bit distracted and hyper, but he notices when someone is hurting and makes a point to cheer them up. He hates to see someone sad.

Even with the darkest storms there is always a golden light that comes breaking through to brighten your day.

These contests are getting hard and harder to judge - dang, you guys are really getting good! XD
I swear I have to take a day or two now at minimum just to try to determine the few forms I like the best and choosing between that is so hard! So basically I'm telling you all that you're doing a fantastic job - I love seeing you guys give so much life to these viscets you try out for. Just awesome. (And geez guys, I wish I could code like some of you can pffft)

I loved how diverse you guys went with some of these "special" things. It was a great memory, a feeling, a food, and an old injury. But all of it was great, and each one was presented beautifully. Of all the forms, you four stuck out the most, and I adored reading all of them and seeing the personalities you gave 'em. I really had a hard time picking between them all.

I allowed for extras, and all of your did personalities, and two of you reached the max allowance of artwork as well.
But I still have to judge this form based on the skeleton given - which is that "special" thing and their name.
I loved all of yours, and they each went beyond what I was expecting. You all gave me a lot of depth with what you went with.

In my competitions I'm always looking for amount of effort, combined with my overall favorite of what I asked for in the skeleton form. And this one was so difficult for that reason because all of your forms are great and could suit this viscet. In the end I picked quillinx's - I loved the form all together the best - the name, "special" thing, and of course your adorable artwork just flowed very well together. <3 so congrats qullinx! <3

1 special thing about them; Magnus broke his leg when he was a child. Now, just like a cranky old grandfather in a folk tale, whenever a big storm is approaching, he can feel the approaching air pressure of the storm in the bone that got broken.






personality:
Magnus is a changeable fellow, happy and generous one minute and despondent the next. He's a big starter, but an empty finisher-- he'll go around starting all sorts of grandiose projects and schemes when he's in a good mood, but the second the going gets hard, Magnus gets going. His plans are often quite whimsical and philanthropical (phiviscetpical???), as he has a dream of helping others. However, he ends up inadvertently hurting others through his indecisiveness and inability to commit. Magnus has an inexhaustible store of hope and is always looking forward to the Next Best Thing-- in the winter, he hopes for gloriously hot swimming days, and in summer he dreams about the blinding reflection of the sun off the surface of untrodden snow. He's never satisfied with the present, but by the same token he's always hopeful and optimistic for the future, and his drive to make a change in the here and now could probably lead him great places one day if he stuck with one idea for long enough. Like the sun, although Magnus is always in a different spot of the sky, again and again he comes back to the same spots on the horizon. He revisits the same themes over and over again, seeing them with new eyes each time and never realizing that others see his constant cycles as tiresome to the extreme.
