Hello! My username is currently Just A Birb, but I was ~Static~ in the past and will most likely switch back to that. I am a non-owner of two years, and this bean really caught my eye. I do have an account on the JBD hangout. If I owned Briar, I would roleplay him all the time to develop his character, and make sure he wasn't neglected. The minute i saw him I felt a connection, and I'd love to be the one to give him a home.
This bean's name would be Briar, after the name for a thorned bush. This is a somewhat ironic name for such a relaxed bean.
Briar identifies as male, even though he is very feminine.

Briar is an incredibly outgoing kid. He loves talking to others, and though it may sound slightly self-centered, always wants to be in the spotlight or to be the leader of a group; thus he usually tends to have a large group of friends. When in school he usually panders to the teachers, yet passes notes when they aren't paying attention. This bean is very laid back about most things in life, and just tends to "go with the flow" of things. He is very agreeable and usually doesn't ever try to start a fight or argument, unless it's over a subject he feels very strongly about. This, along with his typical social status, makes him relatively insusceptible to bullying, and he's had it pretty easy so far, in that respect. As before mentioned, he is quite lazy and finds comfort in sleep. Briar always looks on the brighter side of things, and sees the glass as being half full, rather than half empty. Many see him as an optimist, and he tends to cheer people up without even trying. He takes the time to notice the little things in life- to stop and smell the roses- and it is his personal mission to never feel like he's wasted a day. He sometimes likes exploring and trying new things, on the condition that he always has a warm blanket to go back to afterward.
Though he may have big ideas, Briar is usually quite immature- he is a young bean, after all. His age also explains his mild selfishness, as he simply doesn't like sharing. Briar is somewhat irresponsible, and just doesn't like doing work overall, and is easily stressed about it. He finds it hard to put real trust in beans outside his family, and is therefore not easily convinced of things. He brags about things sometimes, without meaning to- he just wants to share good news with others, yet the tone he uses can make him sound a bit haughty. He's sometimes a bit dramatic about things, and, on the rare occasion that he does get upset by something, can make a mountain out of a molehill. Briar's not very skilled at keeping secrets,. He's somewhat clumsy, always fumbling when he attempts to catch something and tripping over his own feet; because of this he struggles a bit with choreography for musicals, even though he still loves dancing in them.
The trait which tends to surprise others the most is his femininity. He always tries to be fashionable when he can be, And prefers wearing dresses to formal gatherings, rather than a suit. Briar doesn't think this should be regarded as "different" or "weird"- It's just who he is. He rejects gender roles.

Briar loves theater. He aspires to be a great actor in musicals, and tries to develop talent in all skills relating to being in a play. Singing, dancing, acting- you name it! He likes putting on puppet shows and making his own puppets. He's collected several puppet theaters through holiday and birthday gifts. He also enjoys dressing up in whatever fancy clothes he can find.

xxxBriar is fascinated by Miguel's foreign roots, and the brightly colored bean's stories never cease to amaze the child. Although Briar is too intimidated by the idea of storm chasing to actually attempt it, he still partially wants to; both for the sake of knowing what it's like, and for the new experiences it would bring. Briar, too, tends to purposely overhear others, and although he would never spread rumors about what others have said, he sometimes accidentally reveals it to his friends. Briar is more comfortable in crowds of beans than his father, but doesn't mind avoiding them for Miguel's sake. Briar tries to convince Miguel to attend all of his performances, whether they be puppet shows or plays, as he wants Miguel to be proud of him.

xxxBriar doesn't really understand much of Dave's technology or how to use it. He does, however, enjoy the visual effects that can be made from code. He sometimes watches Dave while he's working on a program or such, just to spend time with him. Briar often jokes with Dave about taking over the world, and doesn't take his father seriously about it (which may be his downfall). Briar isn't exactly sure why Dave calls him a "minion" (or what a "minion" is), but he goes along with it anyway.

xxxBriar has a few differences from his older brother, but he doesn't mind them much. He accepts that Rohan has social anxiety, and though this is vastly different from his own personality, the younger bean doesn't really care. He always tries to be supportive of Rohan when he goes to family for help. Although Briar isn't able to fully understand what social anxiety is like, he does his best to help his older brother. The two can sometimes find themselves competing for attention or leadership, but Briar usually gives up if this happens, so as not to cause a conflict. Briar usually tends to have more patience than Rohan.

Briar makes an effort to spend time with Valdemar, and although it can sometimes be awkward, the blue bean always tries to stay light-hearted about it.

xxxOut of all of his family, Briar is probably the most similar to Tulio. The two can sometimes be seen picking flowers together- afterward, Briar sorts his favorites out and braids them into his own tail fluff. Although He doesn't play with his siblings much, he still loves spending time with Tulio, and mostly just "hangs out" with him. Briar also often practices his scripts for various plays with his brother.

xxxBriar likes sugary foods, but not as much as Cuervo. He is mostly indifferent to birbs, although he can be fond of ones that are cuddly. Briar tries to add pink frosting or decorations to any cakes Cuervo might have at that moment, because, in his words, "pink makes everything better". Briar has added Cuervo's stuffed animal crow to his collection of soft things multiple times, but always gives it back to his twin afterward.

I'm not so active in the jbd community - I don't really go on the fanclub, although I do have an account which can be found [url=http://jbdhangout.freeforums.org/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=337]here[/url]. But if it is something that is required I would try - even though I would be a bit awkward, if thats what it takes to own a character I certainly would do it. Apart from that, I am often very active on CS, and can be accessed through PM, as well as through other places, such as deviantART and skype.
Now as for being active with the jbd outside of the form and keeping in contact and such - I can roleplay, I am starting to get back into the hang of it and responses of mine would usually mirror what was given. As with most of my other closed species, this guy would certainly get drawn a lot - maybe not online so much, but defiantly on traditional art - and since I am taking two art subjects at school this year, Micaela will certainly be the subject of some of my projects, and perhaps even her family would, if the project allowed it of course. But I would certainly do sketches and all that from time to time, to keep my connection, if I were to win.
I would also create headcanons for her, and find her friends among other beans that are owned mostly by friends, but also perhaps out of my friends circle, and get to make a few new friends within the community myself. Or I would just create little plots and headcanons by myself - of course they mostly wouldn't become canon unless I felt it really fit with the character, as that does happen often. But it'd be a quick way for me to keep a connection that would stay - and help me develop the character further, and as they grew. She wouldn't be grown straight after she was able - I would probably wait to see until her own twin was wanting to be grown before I even thought of growing her, although I would develop her ahead of that time - deciding how she would be as a teen, and finally, an adult. But I would only put all that into effect when it really needed to be. I wouldn't rush her into anything - certainly not ships if she was to get any. And I would try to keep her connected to her family as best as I could.

Cuervo is a very sweet child, and instead of one of his brothers, Tulio who likes flowers, Cuervo is different. He adores birds and cake. He aspires to be a cake maker when he grows up. His middle name is, infact, not Pastel. He himself nicknamed himself that for, not only his colors, but it means Cake in Spanish. Cuervo is seen as a "Pushover" in some beans eyes, but if you hurt him, he won't let it go, or if he finds out you used him etc. He is also very forgiving <3

To those who built me up, who encouraged me, who offered me company and roleplayed with me despite my rather juvenile behavior, and who joined me in OC competitions, I want to thank you!
