I need to keep this relatively simple. Needless to say, I'm feeling sad and slightly guilty about this, so please, take good care of this little 'cet! The rules and form are below.

1. No prettying. I'm sorry, but please keep all the basic coding and layout of the form the way it is; it's easier for me to read, and it's simple and neat. Thank you!

2. This is a writing comp. It's all about your connection to the character, and the storyline. I want to see a personality with a maximum of 300 words, and a backstory with a maximum of 500.

3. You have one optional extra. If the writing limits are too confining (as they often are for me), then go ahead and write some more backstory, a poem, anything. You may also use this extra for one art piece of any type. Remember, it's optional, but it improves your chances.

Name; Ramuh, a summon from the Final Fantasy series that embodies the power of lightning/thunder. He is often presented as an elderly man with a staff.

Personality (max 300 words); Powerful|Gentle|Wise
Ramuh is a powerful being, able to literally strike down foes with his lightning based attacks. However, his power only presents itself to people who are worthy of it. With great power comes great responsibility, and Ramuh simply can't risk his power falling into the wrong hands. One can only imagine the sheer chaos that would be created if his powers were to fall into the hands of evil.
While powerful, Ramuh is quite gentle, even peaceful for a being that commands the storm. He attacks to defend himself or defend others, never wasting his abilities on tasks that don't require them. Unless he or the being who he has given his power to is in immediate, life threatening danger, he will not use his lightning abilities. They are far too destructive for casual use.
Having been around for quite some time, Ramuh is extremely wise about things new and old. He can recount the lives of ancient civilizations or fix your cell phone. His knowledge spans all subjects, and he gladly lends it to those who need it. This with his power and gentle nature make him respected among the others. Beings like him are often unkind to mortal beings, even killing them in some cases. Ramuh is among the select few who do not challenge your worthiness of their power with violence.

Gender; Although he flirts with everyone, Striker would prefer a female mate. He is Male.
Personality (max 300 words); (192 words)
Striker is a ladies’ man. Or a men’s man. Or an anyone’s man. Whatever you happen to be or identify as, Striker probably thinks you’re hot. Most are people are shocked or intimidated by this behavior, and Striker merely chuckles. Striker is almost always flirting with someone, or even something, but if the someone is interested in Striker, he backs off quickly and his electric personality is turned off as if someone flicked a light switch. Striker is almost never serious; he’s always telling a joke or some absurd and 80% of the time made-up story. He has a few close friends, who he cares deeply about, and would never let anything happen to. If they are threatened or in danger, Striker will come in snarling at a lightning speed, prepared to endure whatever it takes to help their friend. He will act very serious at those times, but has trouble keeping a straight face otherwise. Have you ever been innocently sitting in class, a library, or a meeting, and suddenly think of something that makes you laugh out loud? Well, it’s the perfect thing to summarize Striker’s happiness and constant mood.
Backstory (max 500 words); (499 words (I'm sorry, I kind of got carried away...))
Striker owns an arcade. Sadly, no pretty girls or cute guys tend to come in, and the place is a bit barren. For a long time, Striker’s only company was the beeping of an out-of-order Pac Man game and a giant stuffed monkey, which cost too many tickets to be bought by even the most determined of visitors, so it was destined to hang above Striker’s position behind the prize booth’s counter, feet dangling in front of his view. Striker named the monkey Ted, because as a Viscling, he had always wanted a teddy bear of that size, and seeing that Ted is probably the only similar thing he would ever own, he might as well call it what he had wanted to call his dream teddy bear all those years ago.
When Striker was young, he always visited the arcade. He would run straight from school, all the way to the arcade. The arcade was located near the end of a long pier, so it was quite the run, but being the first one in line to play Galaga was worth the exhaustion. A very old Viscet used to run the store, and he was quite close to Striker, but had no other family, so upon his passing, he gave the arcade to his best customer and friend, Striker.
Soon after, Viscets stopped coming to the arcade.
“New games are cooler!”
“They have better graphics!”
“What’s the point of paying to play a game if I can download it for free on my phone?”
The place became empty, until one day a Viscet decided visit the pier on her way home from school. The Viscet saw the arcade, then rubber her eyes. “Am I dreaming?” she thought. She ran as fast as she could to the nearest game. “Mrs. Pac Man” the machine read. Quickly, she scrambled through her backpack for any change she could find. She found three quarters, then popped them into the machine. After three minutes of intense joystick yanking, the young Viscet had used up her last life. “That was awesome!” she thought. “If only I had more change…”
Meanwhile, at the counter, Striker watched as the enthusiastic young Viscet sprinted into the store and fished around her bag. She reminded him of himself when he was young. She played Mrs. Pac Man for the next few minutes, then hurried over to the counter.
“Quick! I need quarters! I have 20 in my bag, and this is an emergency! I have 10 seconds to continue before I lose my progress!” she said while digging through her bag. “Shoot, I can’t find it!”
“It’s fine, here, take these then pay me afterwards,” he said with a wink.
“Thanks!” she sighed. “By the way, the name’s Dottie.”
“Dottie, eh? I’m Striker. A pleasure to meet you,” he said with a wink.
That day, between Dottie and Striker, a new friendship sparked to life, like the moment an arcade machine is plugged in for the first time.
