• Theme song ;; Willow Tree March - The Paper Kites━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━• Metal Bracelets ;; While the locals of the town that live below the mountains tell stories and myths of Kotei being descended from a mighty God and being able to control the thunderstorms that happen frequently, all of it is quite wrong. The mysterious man wears metal bracelets on each of his ankles and at the tip of his tail. Each one allows the lightning that may strike him on occasion instead pass through the metal instead of him, which gives off the illusion and tail that the village folks have conversed, that Kotei can control the lightning and thunder without being hurt. Surely it doesn't help since metal attracts lightning, these occurrences have happened in front of the eyes of many.
• Old, Burnt Cape ;; When Kotei was younger- however many years ago that was- he had come across a burnt out tower on one of his many travels around the mysterious, unseen land he inhabits in. Only scattered remains were left of the long ago fire that had swept through the massive tower- items such as burned furniture and the remains of smashed pottery, and the more Kotei stayed in there, the more it seemed as if he could see what had happened in the tower many upon many years ago. The only thing he could find at the top floor was a burned cape; dark as night and tattered with holes and rips, yet .. at the same time it was intriguing. Kotei kept the cape, and now uses it is as rememberance to the eery tower he had once saw, and when he returned to the spot one dark night, there had been no sign of a tower ever there. In the thick snow and storms, when a passerby first sees Kotei's shape coming closer, the cape flapping in the wind gives the appearance of torn wings at first.
• Firefly Necklace ;; Kotei uses his necklace to guide him during the long, dark nights; especially up on the mountains where the nights are pitch black and the snow makes it hard to see. Each night he releases each firefly he catches, before trapping a new one in his necklace. The light from the bug gives him some light- the only light to be seen during the night. He replaces each one regularly so they all have a chance to live.
• Wooden Stick ;; As the terrain that he lives in his harsh, rocky, and steep, he uses a stick to help him walk through the mountains. Without it, it would be nearly impossible to trek through the thick snow and steep cliffs that repeatedly he comes across. The stick has been worn down from all the times he's used it, and he will continue to use it until the day he no longer can. For he is a wanderer who only travels the lands around him; he has no home that he can go to, and so, he continues on with the items on his back and his stick to help him.━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━• Personalty ;; Kotei is a strange, distant Viscet. In the strange land that they live in, they are a traveler that wanders through the large, rocky terrain of the mountains overlooking the village beneath it. While he cannot speak much English in the slightest, he understand what others' say well. When he does speak, usually only uttering a few jumbled words, he carries a thick, strange foreign accent. Many of the locals have come to create tales that Kotei is, in fact, descended from the Gods that they believe in. This is hardly true, and even Kotei has no clue of how many years he's been living- though it's been estimated that he is somewhere in his very early thirties, there is no way of confirming this, as he has no current connection to anyone.
Kotei can come off as quite an uncaring, mysterious man. He has come to be known as a guide to lost hikers and travellers that stumble across the unknown parts of the mountains. Kotei is the one who in most cases shows them the way to safety, though when people ask him about who he is, by the time they turn around, he's disappeared. Many never see much of Kotei unless they are in danger or trouble while on the mountains, and those who decide to follow him instead of taking the small amount of kindness he has shown them and leaving, ultimately end up getting more lost. Many don't know where Kotei has come from, but as the Viscet has no home to call his, he simply travels the lands around him.━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Along with Entei and Suicune, Raikou it is one of the legendary beasts resurrected by Ho-Oh after the burning of the Brass Tower. Of the three legendary beasts, Raikou is said to represent the lightning strike which ignited the fire that consumed the Brass Tower.
