A loud crash echoed overhead, jolting Sethie awake. Scrambling to their feet, their eyes widened. After finally being able to catch their breathe, they looked around attentively. A cold, minor chill struck their nose, followed by many more, almost in unison. Letting out a startled cry, Sethie ran to the Overkeep as fast as they could, tripping over themselves tumbling onto the hard wood floor. Sethie could hear the laughter and chuckles burst above her, making her wither into a ball of hot embarrassment. Her gaze then slowly raked across the Overkeep - an old, wooden shelter consisting of a single, dark room. There were holes in the ceiling in a few places, beginning to create small puddles in the cracks of the rough concrete floor. Many different entrances were made in the week spots of the walls , where creatures like Sethie could easily slip inside. Many different creatures were around today - rabbit with long tails, cat with two heads, and even some sort of creature that looked almost human. Feeling the heat slowly leaving her cheeks Sethie got a most devilish idea. Rising to their feet, Sethie surveyed the surroundings once more, before finally trotting to the far side of the Overkeep with her head held high. Yes, Sethie had a most devilish idea indeed. For the chuckles and scoff of the other creatures made to tease them were made to no prevail. Sethie had a scheme in mind, and nothing was going to stop them now.


Sorry I went a little overboard, but It was quite fun to write. If I do not get this babe, I ask that whoever does get them does not use my story without at least asking. It's happened before, and I do not wish for it to happen again.

Man, you guys are getting really good at making it hard on me to judge! XD
but these forms were great and all so creative! I adore that about all of your forms, there was so much life and personality in them~
After reading them all through, the form that stuck out the most to be was howlingtothestars' form. It was very intruguing and I liked how it was put together and the art that went with it was adorable. Though as an honorable mention, I did love LilHal9000's as well, it was a good story, there were a couple small elements that didn't quite flow right, I think mostly the pacing, but you were limited with words so I commend you for what you did with it all~

"Impari!" The visclings father called out as he searched for his serpent patterend child. With a quiet snicker, the viscling scurried through bushes, a Blue Malayan Coral Snake coiled firmly around he's neck as it bobbed its head trying to avoid getting sick from the unsteady jogging of the viscling. Impari coiled up in a bush and eyed his father as he searched the bush that the viscling was in recently. An excited giggle escaped Imparis and he burst from his hiding place. His father turned to him with a large smile, that quickly snapped away to horror. "Impari!" His father rushed to his child as the viscling turned to staf face to face with a King Cobra, its head raised and its neck flattened out in aggression.
Immediently, Impari sat with a massive grin and began swaying left and right in a steady, rythmetic movment as he hummed a deep, lovely tune. The serpent around his neck burrowed deeper into the visclings mane, as though to hide itself from the king that stood before them. The Cobra hissed violently, swaying with the Viscling as it tried to find a proper time to strike. Impari continued with his delicate song until the Cobra seemed to be memorized. The hissing stopped, and the serpent slowed until it fell to the ground and slithered away. Imparis stood and shook, receiving a sharp hiss of annoyance from his companion, and gave his father an ear to ear grin. His father approached his child, clearly shaken and concerned "Did it bite you?" Impari shook his head, the smile still remaining. His father rose up, as if to lean back, and released a long breath. "First that coral snake, and now a cobra... Jeez kid, your more snake than Viscet!" Impari laughed and pranced about his fathers feet. "Woah! Hey kiddo, c'mere!"

Present Day

Impari rolled the logs over into the new pile before standing high to stretch his back. After he had lost his pack durning a rain storm, he had traveled east until he found Amaris and her pack. Their first meeting was a weary one, but they allowed him to stay so long as he worked his keep. Of the whole pack, the young visclings Tau and Hollow were perhaps his favorite. Their questions always seemed to take his mind off of the work he had to do. "Why aren't you afraid of snakes?" Tau tilted her head as she spoke.
"Because I know them."
"That doesn't make any sense." Hollow pouted, a slight glare in his eyes.
"Well, why aren't you afraid of each other?" They hesitated, glancing at each other for a moment before returning their gaze to Impari. "You see? It's hard to explain, but once you know and trust someone, they aren't scary anymore." Trivial, his Blue Maylayan Corla Snake, released a short puff of air, as if to confirm his statement.
"So snakes aren't bad?"
"No, not all. Some are dangerous though, which is why if you see any, tell me before you do anything else."
"But you just said snakes are nice."
"No, I didn't say that. It all depends on how you treat them. However, some snakes wil try to bite you no matter what you do, which is why it is important not to confront any. Leave the snakes to me, okay?
The two hesitated before nodding and rushing off to play their usual game of leap frog. Impari watched them quietly, wondering how else he could have explained his odd bond with serpents to viscets so young.
