Cassiopeia Alexandria Leigh
"Even though you are shy, you can do great things. You are unique, you are different, You are beautiful."
Cassi would be great mother figure for this plumie because Cassi always has always cared for others, yet she'd find herself giving more and more of herself to this special little one. Living with Cassi would mean getting spoiled with little gifts and trinkets all year round. If she sees something the little one would like, nine times out of ten she'll buy it, just to see them smile. Cassi often times works from home, and she lives alone, so it gets lonely at times, even when Zeus is around to show that there is some kind of living entity in the house. Even though she loves her cat to death, Cassi would love to have a child of her own, and would love to adopt a beautiful little child just so that they could have a home to call their own. Due to the plumie's shyness issue, Cassi wouldn't dare let them meet her friends until they were absolutely ready for any other company to be around besides her and Zeus, because she knows how over bearing her friends can be. Living with Cassi would mean lots of supportive words, and constant praise for good deeds. Of course, Cassi doesn't have much of an abrasive side, which means she might find herself forgiving the little plumie for causing trouble, and then gently telling them to not do it again.
Cassiopeia would have another plumie to show the stars to, if the little plumie would even be remotely interested of the endless little stars that she herself loves so much. Cassi would try to often take this little one to her special stargazing spot next to the secluded little home in the forest she owns, which she currently doesn't know if it's even remotely good enough to raise a child of her own in.
Of course, Cassi isn't perfect, she's bound to make a few mistakes, just like any other mother. But all Cassi would want is a bond with them, one that she herself never had with her mother, one that would make her feel like mother instead of a friend or an enemy. Like any mother, she would love this shy little plumie and show them that even though you are shy, you can still do great things. Cassi would show her kindness comes in all shapes, sizes and colors, and if you want to receive kindness, you must first be kind to others.
"I don't see the point in calling yourself worthless, you're perfect in every way fathomable."

How They Meet;
Our story starts five whole years ago, before Cassiopeia met the love of her life, Rainer, and before she ever thought about adoption.
Her home seemed lonely, being her primary work space, Cassi wanted someone to fill the void, someone to talk to while she worked quietly, someone who could make her happy in her new home. The young college student had never thought of the adoption process before, until her friend Edwin introduced it to her, seeing as he was an adopted child himself. Cassi never gave it any hesitation, she wanted to adopt a child of her own,
she wanted to give a child the life she never had.
Not one full of spoiled treats or no rules (of course that would be included), but one full of love. Cassi never had love in her life, with the exception of her cat Zeus, but he’d give her up in an instant for a bowl of wet cat food. Yes, Cassi wanted a love that only a child could bring, and she was certain that bringing a child into her home would make her the happiest. She called off of work at the observatory, really the only week of the month that she worked at the lab, to take visit to the local orphanage, just to look around for now. Of course, she had to make an appointment on the day she went into work, but Cassi didn’t mind, she just wanted to meet one of the sweet little children.
And of course, the staff and environment were very friendly, which overall boosted her confidence in the long run. Cassi enjoyed playing with all of the kids, they were very nice to her, and they often talked to her about what they wanted to do when they grew up, what her job was, and if she wanted to play with them. Cassi answered all of these questions happily, seeing this as the perfect chance to get to know every body. She played with a little male plumie named Chip for most of the time, who she found was going to be adopted soon by two other plumies who were looking for a child to call their own. This little fact warmed Cassi’s heart, but his excitement made it melt into mush. She found all of these little guys to be so happy and cute, who would ever dream of giving them up?
A while later, while she was playing with another little plumie, Cassi had foolishly stumbled and tripped, scattering a 64-pack of Crayola crayons every where. Of course, the little one had gotten a laugh out of it, but after that they all helped out in picking them up with her. While they were picking them up, Cassi seemed to noticed that they wouldn’t go near one room, and that most of the kids seemed nervous when they walked by the door. This made Cassi kind of confused, and she wanted to investigate. Creeping towards the door, she gently put her paw on it, but before she spoke, a whole band of children called from behind her.
“Cassi, I wouldn’t go in there if I were you!”
Chip was the first to speak, she almost immediately recognized his voice. She turned her head to meet the rest of the childrens’ eyes, a concerned look in her eyes. “Why not little ones? It’s just a room, there is nothing to be afraid of.” she calmly stated, lowering her head to meet their height. Tiny gasps filled the air, followed by a string of protests.
“No Cassi, not the room! It’s what’s in the room!”
“Don’t go in there, it’ll be mean to you!”
“Yeah, It’ll eat you alive!”
Cassi a chuckle out of some of their protests, but to most her reaction was confused…What was it? Cassi stepped closer to the group of children, a smile forming on her lips in warmth, “They? What do you mean by ‘they’? Is it another child? That doesn’t seem very nice, now does it?” she said, leaning her head down once more to meet Chip’s gaze.
Chip looked at her, a bewildered look on his face, “B-But you don’t know them! Well…Technically we don’t either, they don’t ever show their faces outside of their room, not even for breakfast, snack, or even diner! All we know is that when we try to make friends, they’ll say something mean to us and tell us to go away!” he chirped, shrinking down a bit.
Cassi blinked at him, her blue eyes unwavering from his face, “Well, maybe I could try? I’ll be fine, I promise!” she assured them, turning back towards the door, before anyone could protest against her.
She put her paw on the door, turning the knob and opening it slightly, hearing the door creak slightly, sending chills down her spine. The room was completely dark, dimly lit with a few strings of vintage string lights here and there. There were everything else a bedroom would have, except for the numerous paintings and colorful array of pictures that lined the walls. A small blanket fort sat on the bed, illuminated by a light a bit brighter than the string lights. Cassi bit the inside of her cheek as she saw a figure inside of the tent, it's ears pricked as if it was trying to find out who came in solely by listening to her footsteps. She lowered her head, creeping a bit closer, but before she could, a voice stopped her.
"Go away."
The statement was rather simple, and the straightforwardness of it had enough surprise to knock someone off of their feet. Cassi blinked, taking a step forward once more, and the voice spoke again.
"What part is so hard to understand? Leave. Me Alone. Go way, I don't want to talk to anybody, I don't want to play with anybody."
The voice seemed to be talking as if it thought Cassi was another child, which caught Cassi off guard once again. "And why is that little one?" Cassi had just suddenly blurted out her question like she didn't have any sense, and it made her fur heat up in embarrassment.
Meanwhile, she could just feel the figure in the tent stiffen, like it had come to realization that a stranger had come into it's room. Cassi lowered her head even lower, stifling a sigh as she spoke again;
"I'm very sorry for intruding by coming into your room, but the other children have spoken about you, I guess my curiosity had gotten the best of me. I guess I shall take my leave, seeing as you don't want anybody in here, goodbye." She muttered, turning around to walk back to the other children.
The tent shivered from behind her, "Wait." the voice said, the tent continuing to shiver some more.
Cassi obeyed, turning around to face a smaller figure with a hood over their head. Cassi blinked at them, and then she smiled warmly, "Hello there, I'm glad to see you." she said, her tail swishing back and forth.
The small plumie turned her head to the side, "No, you're not, no one is ever very happy to see me, that's why I stay in here." they said, turning around to walk over to the tent.
"Oh, is that so? So, is that why you stay in here?"
"Yes, it is."
"Oh...I see. I guess you and me are nearly the same then."
"..."
Silence.
Cassi sat herself on the ground, patiently waiting for the next time this little one would speak. The little figure seemed to have frozen stiff, like they were trying to decipher her words on their own.
"What do you mean by 'nearly the same'?"
Cassi chuckled as the little one spun around to stare at her in the dimly lit room. "I mean, I live in the woods by myself, with the exception of my cat. It gets quite lonely there, but the scenery is just beautiful to look at." she said, imaging her small home in her head as she spoke.
The little plumie under the hooded robe tilted their head to the side, "Is it beautiful enough to paint?" they asked curiously.
Paint? What a peculiar question, Cassi thought it was a bit unusual, until she took another look at the beautiful paintings and drawings that neatly lined the walls, of course!
Cassi looked down at them, another warm smile presented itself, "Oh yes, it's the perfect scenery to paint. Do you enjoy painting?" she asked, lowering her head once again to meet them.
"Uh, yeah, I guess I do."
"Well, may I see some of you paintings? I'm sure they're very pretty."
The young plumie was hesitant for a second, but then they spoke once again.
"You promise not to laugh at me? at my paintings?"
Although Cassi mentally questioned this, she never got the chance to ask her what this question meant.
"I promise little one, no body will ever laugh at you or your paintings, especially me."
The rest, you say? Your heart just might melt at how cute the scene was. Cassi ended up adopting the little one, seeing her talent and her views of the world as unorthodox, but special. The little one took a liking to Cassi, almost like an attachment to her. The two of them stayed inseparable their first few nights, and eventually the little one learned to call Cassiopeia Alexandria Leigh, their mommy.
══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════That story was how Cassi bonded with her little one through the spirit of paint. I can honestly say that I modeled this form after me and my step-father's relationship. We weren't the best of pals when we had met, I was still getting over the abandonment of my father and he was trying to get over the divorce of his previous wife, and we often clashed. I modeled this part after he found out about my secret talent for singing, and my love of pillow forts. I guess in a way, we bonded through that, I showed him the music I liked, and he'd teach me how to make better pillow forts by stealing to couch cushions. Till this day, we still have a strong bond, and I have nobody to take but him for showing me paradise.
