Why Do You Want Her? What Will You Do With Her if You Win?
When I saw her, I honestly just fell in love. Her color palette is one of my all-time favorites - seriously, I love anything with fall or fire colors - and I just felt inspired when I looked at her. I've been thinking about a mate for one of my viscets, Ignacio, so not only would Vanhi be a well-loved and adored character of mine, but she'd later be a mate to Ignacio (further down the line after I develop their history together a bit more, which I'd be doing this month for NaNoWriMo).
Name:
Vanhi Elide Aideen
Gender/sex:
Cisgender Female
Personality:
Vanhi is a fireball. She never slows down, and is always go-go-go. She's not a good liar, but that never stops her from trying to lie her way out of most situations she gets herself into. Cocky and belligerent, most viscets prefer to steer clear of her, as they think of her as a "jerk." Confident to the utmost degree, Vanhi often doesn't know she can't do something until she fails at something she thinks she can do. She never enters a situation thinking that she can't do it, but rather prefers to think that she can do absolutely anything. While this is great in most circumstances, others aren't so great - for instance, as a young viscet, she wondered if she could fly. She nearly broke her tail after trying to leap out of a tree, and after that point, she never questioned her non-ability to take flight. Often Vanhi has to learn the hard way that she can't do something - but this has just made her more stubborn and determined to do well at the things she knows she CAN do, and thus makes her have more of an attitude problem around viscets who aren't good at the things she is. She tends to lord things over others, and can't stand it when she's bad at something. Because of this, she'll go out of her way to hide evidence that she did something wrong, even if her attempts at hiding such a thing are futile.
Truly a fragile girl, Vanhi is harsh and angry most of the time. When she's not lashing out at others in fury, she's sobbing herself to sleep. She hates the life she's been given, and only knows how to deal with others with wrath, not in kindness or love. However, she'd NEVER admit that she's really hurting inside - she feels as if letting out your emotions is a show of weakness, which is something she despises doing. Because of this, she's never understood viscets who are caring and actually, legitimately concerned for the well-being of others, as she herself has never felt this way. Viscets who are truly kind don't irk her, but rather confuse her - she never feels safe around anyone, but particularly around these viscets, as she doesn't understand them in the least. Only in times of extreme mental instability will she truly open up to viscets like this. If something horribly goes wrong in her life and she has no where else to turn, she may turn to a viscet such as this - but most of the time she prefers to handle things herself.
Most of the times she tried to make friends it ended up being a flop, and after the first couple failed times, she just gave up, and took to running and training herself to be faster than any viscet so that instead of making friends, she could run from them. She was never the most intelligent viscet, and was picked on as a child by the viscets she tried to befriend. After this point, she became recluse and never tried to make friends again, preferring to be on her own than have her heart broken again. She created a hard outer shell to protect herself from the world, erecting a brick wall to separate herself from those who would want only to harm her - but this wall didn't just keep out the bad viscets; it also kept out the good ones. Vanhi didn't seem to care - she kept good maintenance on the wall, smothering it in layers of sadness and anger to fortify it. The more time she spent alone, the more the wall became strong, and the more she lost sight of what was really important in life.
