Bai is a believer in a philosophy called 'neo-lution'. This philosophy is the belief that body modification is a right that everyone should be able to choose to further evolve life.
The markings are all tattoos. The circuits are just part of prosthetic legs. The claws and eyes are artificial, too.
stitches?:

The stitches are from surgical implants. Most of them are done by Bai themself, but others are done by doctors that were hard to find. Most doctors didn't agree with what they wanted done.
