Salem is the youngest out of his family of four. He currently has a Dad, Mom, and sister. At a younger age, Salem listened and watched a YouTube video of Change the World. Then he found a remix version and loved the sound of that. After two years, Salem got his own DJ set and a electric guitar. Ever science, he's loved playing the guitar and making cool songs on his set.

→ Being young, there's a lot of peeves he hasn't found out yet. One of his biggest pet peeves would be smacking loudly, or anything including mouth sounds. Another pet peeve would be when people bite their fingernails. He finds it disgusting, and avoids those people at all times.




→ Momma "I love my mom and how artistic but punk she is. She sometimes can get mad at me for playing my music up too high, or if I play the bass too much. She'll give me the eye. Mom is such a great artist and is trying to be a art teacher! I'm proud of my momma. I am a mommy's boy. Defiantly. "

→ Daddy "My dad is a very laid back guy. He loves playing soccer too! He's tried teaching me, but I don't seem to be too good at it... I'm not a daddy's boy though. I love my dad so much, and love going to dinner with him! You can often find him talking about soccer, which, sometimes gets boring if you're not interested..."

→ Sis "Zinnia. Oh where do I begin? Zinny is very sassy, kinda like mom. She back talks which makes her get in trouble. I love being with her because she also is a DJ! She teaches me new tricks and stuff! You don't ever want to make a rude remark about her music though. she'll smack you! I learned that the hard way..."




→ "Your home alone at night, and your neighbors are playing loud music. You wonder whats going on and walk over to their house. You knock at the door and the music gets louder. You decide to walk in, finding a 8 year old being the DJ, with a whole house full of plumerians. You're shocked. How could a 8 year old be a DJ? You decide to start dancing, enjoying the time you were there. The 8 year old walks up to you. "Hey there neighbor! I'm Salem!" He seems friendly, so you smile and introduce yourself. "Nice to meet you!" He grabs a Coke and chugs the whole can. Surprised, you notice he is getting a little bit, well, crazier. He yells a bit and jumps to the music. You smile awkwardly and ask him if he got his parents permission. "What? OH! I think so! They never say yes or no!" He grinned then walked over to his sister. He whispers something to her and she turns down the music. Salem announces that the party was over, and everyone had to go home. You smile at the cutie. You say to him have a nice night. "Thanks for coming! BYE!"

➽Why do I want this plumerian? This soul baby is such a cutie! I love everything about him from his hair, to his markings, to his feathers! I love halloween and this plumerian reminds me so much of the halloween spirit. As you already know that im a non-owner so hopefully Salem could be my first!

➽What would I do with him if i won? if I won the soul baby i'd be overjoyed, i've been wanting a plumerian to call my own and cherish for so long. The first thing i'd do if I won would be to develop him more by getting friends, enemies, likes and dislikes. Salem is a sassy Plumerian who tends to have to big an ego.He is very protective of those he holds dear and doesn't take nonsense from anyone.He can be very mature in some situations but mostly acts like a child.A firm believer of the supernatural,he hunts down demons to protect others.

Small Salem was a spoiled Salem,or he at least acted like it.Kid Salem was all high and mighty,not really caring about others feelings,not even his family's,and normally pitching a fit to get his way.He had a "I'm better than everyone" attitude about life and needless to say it made him a few long term enemies.

Preteen/Early Teens(12-14);;
As of right now,Salem still has a ego to him--his pride is one of the first things noticed about him.However he acts less like a spoiled brat and more along the lines of "that jerk in class that makes stupid jokes".Salem tends to flirt with others sometimes,normally just doing it to get on their nerves.This is also the time he starts getting interested in the supernatural.

Older Teenager(15-21);;
Teenage Salem has matured quite a bit.He still acts like a jerk,but now it's more of a gentle teasing kind of way.He tends to occasionally stop and think about others,and even offers to help others.

Salem is a calmer soul now.He often is found with his nose in a book,studying mythological creatures,legends,and lore.When a friend or family member is distressed he can be found helping them out.He is the first anyone calls(if they happen to know him) if they need help with what they think might be demons or some other mythical creature.

Salem has a pretty good relationship with his sister and tends to try and drag her along with him when he hunts.He adores her interest in music and loves the fact that she DJ's.He'll normally bug her into letting him try it,but she always tells him no.

While he does care for his mother,Salem tends to not spend an overbearingly amount of time with her.He isn't very interested in her love of outdoor activities and knows better than to act like a spoiled kid around her.She is however,the only one that can get him to fall asleep--something about her calms him.

The small Plumerian seems to like his father's laid back personality.He tends to hang out in his coffee shop quite a bit.As a smaller child,Soleil would be the one he'd run to in one of his fits,demanding he do something about it.Most of the time a flustered and confused Soleil would try to calm him down and not really understand what he wanted because Salem would just keep crying and yapping.

Great Grandmother
It's a safe bet to say that Salem respects his great Grammy quite a bit.She's the only one who he's never fussed at,never gotten mad towards.He loves to listen to her tell stories of her travels and wishes that he could join her sometimes,though something always holds him back from asking.He is closest to her and tends to run right to her when he needs to vent or tell her about new creatures he's read up on.He goes to her house after school for a little while and can mostly be found in her kitchen trying to tell her about the day.

He goes to the same school that he coaches at,and while he's not on the team,Salem does tend to go visit him during his own lunch period.He actually really likes watching him coach.To be honest he'd probably stay out there,but when lunch is over Incedie always walks him back to class.

Salem knows Ryder because he is one of his sisters good friends,who also happens to really be into music.Ryder has his own band and Salem thinks he sings really well.The tiny plumerian also has a crush on him and tries his best to impress him.Ryder of course is clueless like always.

As children Zavier and Salem are constantly at each others throats. Zaiver hates his cocky personality and the fact that as a teen Salem flirts with everything that moves.As they grow older they won't be as bad,though they won't really like each other,but it won't be too bad.Zaiver and Salem fight also because one believe's in ghost and spirits,and one believes in demons.One last reason would be that they both have a crush on the same person,Ryder.

Why Do I Want Him?;;
I'll be honest.I'm not gonna be like how I normally am in contests when I say this part.It's not the design at all.Because yeah,I like it,the design is really cute.But it's not something I'd normally go for,you know?Not saying I don't adore the design,I do!I love that it's outside of my comfort zone but I can still color it !But that's not what made me go for it.

When I looked at him,and saw the name "Salem" in your post idea's struck me and I had to try.I also really adore your little plumie family and I'd love to be a part of that.I think the parents are one of the cutest ships ever and Zinnia is a sweetheart ahh I don't really know how to word things well,but I guess I'm trying to say that it'd honestly be an honor to be a part of one of my favorite Plumerian families!

Salem flung his book bag down onto the couch as he entered Sayia's home."Gram I'm back!"The fifth grader called out,assuming his great grandmother heard him as he headed into the kitchen."Hey sweetheart."She called back,shuffling around with something."Come here,I have something for you."

He stepped into the kitchen with curiosity written all over his face.She sat down at her table and motioned for him to sit next to her."What is it?"His head tilted as she grabbed a small bag from the table and took something out.It was a cross necklace,dull but golden.He blinked for a second as if he was confused,and then she smiled."A cross necklace,for you."

"Thank you Gram."He said,still a bit confused as to why he needed it.

Sayia chuckled softly and said "This will keep the demons away Salem."

I know I may not have elaborated much,but the reason it plays such a big role is because Sayia gave it to him,and he keeps it dear to him since it makes her think of him and has always brought him luck on exorcisms and hunts.


New Made Enemies
Salem was walking down the street one day when he saw Ryder.He looked like he was annoying this red plumie that was next to him.The red one was looking over notes and pictures.He walked closer and saw that it was about aliens.He let out a loud scoff and the red boy turned around.

"What?!"He snapped,raising an eyebrow.Ryder rolled his eyes."Calm down Zavier."Zavier glared dagger at him."Aliens?Really?You know those aren't real right?"

"They are too!"He yipped at him."I've studied them.."They started going back and forth.Ryder rolled his eyes."...HEY!Don't make me get Justin!"Zavier instantly shut up.

Salem raised a brow again and snickered before walking off."Weirdo."

Studious - Hendrix is a straight A's student, always seeking to prove that he's worthwhile or pushing himself to the limits to reassure himself that he isn't bad. At first he had only brought home his homework to study for tests, though over time, it slowly became a habitual activity. While Hendrix is only twelve, he takes the time out of his evening to go over the work that they'd learned that day, and the members of his family aren't surprised when they see him reading textbooks to get a better grasp. Though some would say this unnatural amount of time studying and looking over everything they did is unhealthy for a young boy, Hendrix doesn't care to stop.

Intellectual - With a large portion of his family possessing high intelligence, it's no surprise when Hendrix also seemed to show high intellectual ability. With high intelligence, Hendrix has always been a straight A student, and thus has a reputation that he's built around himself. Feeling pressured into making sure he gets top notch grades, people are often surprised, and in some cases, disappointed when he shows up with anything lower then an A. There are only a few subjects he struggles in, the major subject being Science. Hendrix is lucky enough to have an older sister to help out with his work if his parents are busy, though he rarely needs it- he prefers to teach himself. [And in some cases, this has paid off well.]

Socially awkward [away from family and close friends] - Confused for just being extremely shy, if Hendrix is speaking to anyone he doesn't know well enough- meaning anyone who isn't close friends or family, he stutters and is generally mute around them. Some take this has him not wanting to talk to them, though Hendrix is anything but guilty to doing things such as that. He doesn't understand why he acts as he does, but he simply finds it difficult to speak to others who he doesn't have the greatest knowledge of. However, all of this is washed away when he's showing and teaching people about the things he loves- food & culture, and training raptors.

Bird lover - Hendrix loves birds, and in the future, will volunteer at a local bird sanctuary in town. He currently owns a male barn owl by the name of Oz, which had been gifted to him as an owlet by the trainers who ran the raptor show in the local zoo. From there he would come daily to feed Oz and take care of him, and when the owl was older, Hendrix was allowed to begin to train him. The runners of the show saw a tremendous ability in him, and with the permission of his parents, Hendrix was allowed to join in and assist at some of the shows. With his passion for birds being so strong, Hendrix loved looking after and watching all the other birds, such as the Red-Tailed Hawks, Golden Eagles, Snowy Owls, and Ospreys, to name a few. Another way others can tell about his loves for these animals is the fact that for every Halloween since he was five, Hendrix has always dressed as some type of bird. Foodie - When Hendrix explains that he loves food, many assume he is speaking about eating food, which makes Hendrix greatly frustrated. Hendrix is, literally, in love with food. He loves learning about different food dishes and where they're from, as well as learning about the different cultures that surround where the food is from. With each dish he has, he takes on a peculiar doing in which he begins to try and speak in the accent where the meal comes from. At school, his lunch is packed in paper bags that he specially packs himself, and in his neat, cursive writing, the bag is labelled with what meal lays inside, and where it's from. Though many children find it weird for him to imitate accents and care so deeply about food, he doesn't mind. Hendrix also seems to have a great ability when it comes to cooking and tasting food, and with each sip or nibble he tries as he prepares food, he often judges if it needs more spices, or less spices. He seems to have a great way with his senses and taste, and while he is only beginning to learn how to cook, in the future it will pay off. As an adult, he'll go on to study and learn more about foods, and eventually he will become the head chef of a very popular Indian cuisine restaurant.

Nonchalant - Hendrix is a generally nonchalant Plumerian, always calm and collected and never seeming to blow his top off. Hendrix is a Plumerian that goes with the flow, preferring to follow then lead, as he is quite content to not be the centre of attention. Hendrix doesn't mind change, and not much can set him off and get on his nerves- except for the few that have already been listed, of course. Those single, rare moments when Hendrix is full-on angered are truly a sight to be seen, with loud curses being thrown and the occasional fist fight appearing. [Though Hendrix has always been bad at these- every time this has happened, he has lost tremendously.]

Curious - Hendrix is quite a curious boy, always enjoying to learn new things and extend his knowledge past what he already knows. While reading is a favourite of his, Hendrix doesn't mind settling down with a thick, well-read nonfiction book and reading up upon past events, animals, and many other topics. With his grade seven teacher being heavily impressed, he can often be seen with the older woman showing him and suggesting different books for him. A few other places he can be seen in his free time are in the public library, where he often stands in the large, towering isles in which he feasts his eyes upon every single novel that could load him with the information he so much desires.

Thinking - Hendrix is a thoughtful person, always thinking over the possibilities before he decides upon doing something. Hendrix's attention is always fixated on something, and whenever he zones out, it's more often than not because he's in deep thought about something that's troubling him. He struggles in wanting to have a deeper meaning of things, overthinking about things that would seem pointless to others.

Quiet - Hendrix is a quiet person, preferring to let others do the talking instead of him. Though this isn't always the case, as he does enjoy to speak about things that interest him. He was always the librarian's favourite, the young boy had always intrigued them. His quietness, kindness, and curious personality had drawn her to him, and more often than not, he is somewhere speaking quietly to the woman, or signing out stacks of books while peeking over the top on his toes. Hendrix loves the quietness of the library, and he is usually the one that stays until the library closes, which is seven; though on rare occasions, the librarian has come across him fallen asleep on the floor with a book, and she then would take the time to drive him home, instead of making him walk home in the dark. This has happened multiple times, and because of it, if Hendrix isn't home by after six, they know right away what has happened; he has fallen asleep at the library.

Generally friendly - Though he only has a small portion of friends, Hendrix is generally friendly; he doesn't mind others, as long they don't mind him. However, many children don't find him approachable- if the class is doing a partner project, Hendrix always requests to do it by himself. Or if they're in Gym class, Hendrix doesn't enjoy partnering. He would much rather prefer to be by himself, as he believes other students could effect the way he learns. However, besides for that small point, he enjoys making new friends [occasionally] and learning more about others.

Mismatched - Anything Hendrix wears is almost never matching. Whether it be blue sweatpants with a Christmas sweater and mismatching socks, he simply doesn't care about what he throws on in terms of clothes. While this could be thought of as a weird choice, Hendrix has always enjoyed sticking out in front of a crowd, and ever since he was little he had always enjoyed dressing up in exciting new clothes and eccentric colours.

ＲＥＬＡＴＩＯＮＳＨＩＰＳ

Zinnia Nora Albain - Commonly referred to as 'Zi' by Hendrix, he won't lie- Hendrix finds Zinnia incredibly daunting. While he isn't sure with the reasoning behind this, it could be a multitude of factors; her sass, the fact that she's seven years older then him, or even the fact that he knows what would happen if he told her the truth about what he thinks about her own music. While it certainly isn't anything personal between the two of them, Hendrix simply doesn't want to put up with and hear what she makes up in her own time. Though he knows this is rude and hurtful, Hendrix is polite enough to not voice his opinions openly about his beliefs. Despite this, he finds a great interest in learning how she does her job and creates her remixes, and he enjoys those small moments where she explains to him and lets him try things out, though he's often too shy to try for very long. Though he doesn't mean it in the slightest, Hendrix often catches himself being timid and shy around his older sister, when he knows he shouldn't. It isn't Zinnia's fault, however- it's just the simple fact that his and her personalities clash slightly. While Zinnia would rather be out partying, Hendrix would rather be studying for tests or out helping at the raptor shows he frequently visits with his barn owl, Oz. Despite the differences, however, Hendrix loves Zi just as much as the next family member.

Huo Albain - Hendrix often has unique views on his family members, and Huo is no exception. Hendrix finds her slight attitude to be a factor that repels him from his mother, unable to find a good reason as to why she should act like that. Yes, her personality isn't purposely set like that, but Hendrix would wish once in a while that his mother was more like his Great Grandmother, Saiya. [Who he wishes he could see more often, as Saiya holds a special place in his heart.] Huo's way of fighting isn't one Hendrix would usually turn down the path of, and instead of using words and giving dirty looks, he prefers to not even cause arguments. However, Huo's lively personality and liking of athletic activities allows him to bring her often to the raptor shows where he brings Oz to, and enjoys to show her all the large birds of prey and the tricks he's learned while assisting in the shows. Though he doesn't know if his mother even enjoys listening to or watching him and his owl perform, he takes great comfort in having time with his mother, and doing some of the things he loves most.

Soleil Marlo Albain - Out of the small family of four, Soleil is who Hendrix finds the most comfort from. His father's laid back personality is one he enjoys, usually seen reading or doing his homework not far off to where Soleil is. Hendrix seeks the quietness that enfolds when the two of them are close to each other, Soleil usually recognizing that Hendrix would prefer to do his tasks then speak much. From time to time Hendrix will come by his father's cafe on the way home from school with friends, usually stopping by for a quick chat and [a secret to anyone else] a free, small treat on occasion. Besides for those appearances, Hendrix is usually seen hanging with people such as his mother, or his sister. As Hendrix doesn't have very many of the same interests as his father does, such as soccer, Hendrix tends to stick to himself and dig into learning about different animals, and food.

Incendie Caleb Albain - Incendie's ability to trust others easily makes Hendrix cringe. The fact that his Grandpa had been brought down in the past because of it, but still goes on to trust others easily, makes Hendrix question whether or not that's a bad thing or not. After all- you should never let your guard down easily. Though despite that, Hendrix enjoys his Grandpa's company just as much as any other family member- maybe even slightly more then his mother, father, and sister. Since Incendie reminds him very much of his Great Grandma, Saiya, he accompanies him a lot when Incendie goes to teach the High School swim team, as he's obviously unable to visit Germany whenever he wants to see Saiya. Sometimes Hendrix will ask Incendie if he can teach him a few things, and Incendie will happily accept the task of teaching his young Grandson, Hendrix.

Saiya Ashlyn Albain - Out of his whole family, Saiya is the one who Hendrix holds closest to his heart. He loves her calming aura, her serious personality, and that he acts in similar ways to her. Though he hates the fact that Saiya had moved to Germany, whenever he's allowed to visit her during the summer or during Christmas, he cherishes the moments he has with her. He enjoys the fact that she owns and runs a small bookstore, and he often comes with her to work when he visits her, enjoying to sort the books and place them upon their rightful shelves. Though he can't help but admit that he may on occasion take a book off one of the shelves and be found curled up in a corner somewhere. Each time he visits her, whichever book Saiya notices that he's the most interested in, she'll buy it for him as a gift to take home. However, Hendrix hasn't read any of them past the first few pages- for he wants to read them with his children when he's older, in the hopes that they'll know what his childhood was like, as well as him reliving the moments that he's had with Saiya. Who knows? Perhaps they'd still smell of the bookshop that Hendrix had received them at, those years when he was a child.

ＷＨＡＴ ＴＨＥ ＦＵＴＵＲＥ ＨＡＳ ＩＮ ＳＴＯＲＥ ．．．

As Hendrix grows older, his passion for cooking & training birds will only expand with him. As a young adult, Hendrix will move to New York for a few years, where he'll take part in culinary school. Once he graduates, he'll go on to moving to France, where he'll be hired at a famous Indian cuisine restaurant. With his reputation rising, and the manager and staff realizing how talented he is with connecting his senses with his flavours and tastes, Hendrix will become the head chef. He'll volunteer at a bird sanctuary that isn't far off from where he lives, and keeping a steady job between working a full shift at the restaurant and working as a volunteer at the bird sanctuary, Hendrix will become a busy man with little time to take part in things such as vacations or visiting family.
