Name Meaning: Finnegan is an Irish name that means "fair", in terms of a person being both very understanding and observant and beautiful. It also heralds Finch's Irish ancestry and somehow his thick Irish accent isn't so much of a surprise after learning his name. His nickname comes from his zebra-esque markings; it reminded his mother of the little zebra finches she'd seen once or twice with their striped chests, and so she took to calling him 'finch'. He uses it more than Finnegan these days.
