name: Brindle
gender: male
superstition/mythical creature: Centaurs.
when brindle was just a young teenager, he lived out on a small farm on a mountain top, surrounded by forests, bogs, fields, and other places of the sort. he had a farm with many animals such as Cows, horses, goats, sheep, chickens, ducks and many more. His favorites were the cows. He often picked out a cow to walk with for a bit, and stayed around the cow then brought it back to the farm. He walked for miles and miles, along with the cow, grazing peacefully at a slow pace. His favorite area to walk the cows was a large, yellow green field, with only one large tree in sight, offering a lot of shade. Brindle walked with a cow named Marcy to the tree one day, not thinking of anything at the time. Then Brindle saw it. A centaur sat underneath that tree, petting a cow. It's large horse like body was muscular, yet slim. His ' human ' part was heavy and bulky, with large ram like horns. Brindle was terrified. His jaw dropped, and he sat there for a good 40 seconds, staring. He thought he saw the creature make eye contact with him, and he grew paralyzed with fear. He was a only a boy, so he didn't know what to do, panicking. His first thought was, ' Run '. So he did, the cow running beside him. He ran and ran, towards the little farm. from that day on, each time he want to that tree, he felt uneasy, like the Centaur was to be right behind him. He swears on his life it happened, he saw it for sure. He was scared yet fascinated by the creature, although he never saw it again, he still does believe.
based on a true story, my father believes he saw one as a boy when he was walking his cows under a tree stroking a cow. he ran and ran just like Brindle did.
