Personality:
Freedom believes in never giving up. He believes in the courage it takes to move on, even when life is rough for he has been through hard times too. Everyone goes through hard times and hard times are going to come, but they will not stay, they will come to pass, things will always get harder before they get better. He believes fear is a lie. A fabrication of your mind, to do what you think is to protect you. But it does not. Fear paralyzes you, it stops you from doing things you CAN do. He believes that danger is real, but fear is false. He believes in daring to do great things. To rise above your fears, to push past them and control them. Not hid and run from them, danger is real and you should run from danger, but you should not run from fear. For fear had once held Freedom back from doing what he would have never though to be possible and he has learned from it. When ever he can, he listens this video to motivate him and others. Freedom believes in dreaming big, and he always tries to motivate others when ever he can. Freedom believes in trying your best to go beyond anyone has ever believed possible.

Genest always looked different from the rest. His unique markings set him apart from the other foals, who him the horrible labels that made him feel so self conscious. "Nightmare", "monster", and "freak" were only a few of the things some would call him. Despite his bold appearance, Genest was actually a kind-hearted colt, but nobody would stay with him long enough to realize it. His family always told him that with time, it all would stop, but day after day it was the same thing repeating, the terrible words never failing to hurt him. Genest felt like he was loosing this battle forever, but things were soon about to change for the lonely distressed colt.

One cool, crisp fall morning, Genest was standing around all alone in the shade of a huge oak tree. He had been grazing, almost in a daze since he was really just doing the same thing as always. All of a sudden, he turned sharply at the sound of the fallen leaves rustling behind him, snapping right back into focus. He relaxed slightly when he noticed it was just a small mare who had walked into the shade of the large tree, but he was still on edge as social interaction tended to end poorly for him. He stood silently watching the mare until she came quite close to him, slightly stepping into his personal space, causing him to step backwards suddenly. This action resulted in the mare stepping backwards herself, her head snapping upwards, ears pointed I his direction. He paused for a second before mumbling, "Aren't you going to call me a freak?" The mare simply tilted her head in response, not understanding him. "You know, a-a demon-horse, an unnatural horror?", he added in a more clear voice. The mare tilted her head again before whispering, "But why?" It was only at this moment when Genest realized what was different about her. Her eyes glowed a consistent amber tone, unbroken by the darkness of a pupil. She was blind. She couldn't see him, so she wasn't afraid. "What?", she inquired again, still waiting for his response. "It's just that... The other yearlings don't like me.", he said, his voice lowering to barely a whisper. "But you seem like a nice colt", she replied, unsure of what he really meant. "- or rather..... How I look.", he added to clarify for the mare, remembering that she wouldn't be able to realize that from a glance like others could. "So you look different from the rest. How could that be a bad thing?! Unique is awesome", the blind mare replied, her ears still perked forwards. "My coat... It looks scary, kind of like a skeleton. I don't like it.", the colt sighed, lowering his head. "You don't like it or you don't like how they react to it?", she asked, forcing him to see that he was letting things get to him. "Just because they don't like it, it doesn't mean it's a bad thing. They didn't like me because I'm blind, they tried to call me 'useless', but I didn't let it stop me. I love who I am and you've just gotta love who you are!", she continued persuasively. Genest looked at the mare, left speechless by her inspiring words of encouragement. "I don't think I've ever really tried to love who I am. All this time I've been told how I was and I guess I just believed it.", he concluded. A few moments later, the mare broke the silence. "Oh, and I'm Pandora by the way. I was so caught up that I forgot to even mention who I am!", she explained. "I'm Genest", he replied kindly.

Although his path to accepting himself for who he was ended up being a long one, Pandora was with him the whole way along and they became the best of friends. An unlikely pair, but an unbreakable friendship formed between the small blind mare and the much bigger skeleton-looking stallion. Genest began to come across more and more horses that thought he looked so amazing and unique, and this made him finally feel proud to be himself, exactly how Pandora had wanted all along.

The little filly stood up on her wobbly and weak legs while her mother lovingly nuzzled her to get up. The black mare with similar markings to her filly had stayed lying down. She had gone through a hard and long labour and now she was exhausted. The bright eyed filly was lively and bubbly. She bounced around her mother and sometimes losing her balance and tripping. The midsummer's night she was born on was hazy and alive with the chirping of birds and crickets. Only the moonlight peered on this new foal. born outside in her pasture. As the filly pranced around, her mother could only think how much the filly would please her dad. The mare sighed and remembered her final promise to her mate before the freak accident which killed him less than three weeks ago, that she would treasure the foal for life.
This accident happened when the mare was in foal and her and her mate were in the trailer together and due to a drunk driver, the trailer driver swerved and the trailer toppled over, in a dying breath, her mate made her promise to make sure her foal lived. The mare was saved but her mate passed away in the trailer from his fatal injuries. It was a surprise her foal had survived.
The mare lovingly watched her filly prance, so alive! She proclaimed life. A name circled in the mare's head.
Her filly was to be called Hallelujah.

Hallelujah is very quiet and gentle. She is very shy and takes awhile to trust people and horses and finds it hard to get to know people. She hates being alone, although. She spent most of her foal years isolated and scared which, effectively, traumatised her for life. She doesn't demand attention nor does she act brattish. She hates violence and ultimate quiet. Hallelujah is fond of music and it provides her with all the company this mare desires. She can be very spooky and sudden movement is just enough to send her off. She isn't a bucker and rearer, she will just bolt. Hallelujah is very quick witted and can be sharp tongued and she will stand up for herself and others around her. She doesn't forgive easily and hates inequality.

Today was Hallelujah's first birthday. Hallelujah hated her birthday because she would always remember it as her mother's deathday. Exhaustion had gotten the better of her beautiful mother on that midsummer night. The yearling made her way outside and tipped her nose to the darkening sky. The was summer wind whistled around her velvet muzzle. Tickling and stroking it. The wind ruffled her dark mane and grass stained coat. She felt alone and unwanted. Hallelujah was the only horse on the yard, all the others had been sold or died. Mostly the latter. Most of her baby fluff had gone to reveal the raven black and white coat beneath. Just like her mum's but just like her mum, she thought she'd be dead soon. The owners had lost interest and she was scared of them. They forced a nasty thing around her face and harshly dragged her to the field everyday and when she protested, Hallelujah was punished. She didn't understand.

I bought Hallelujah from some people when she was one and a half. They had lost interest in her when her mother had died and didn't want her. They were clueless on how to care for a foal and Hallelujah was dragged up. She was very mature for her age but very shy and quite spooky. Once we rejuvenated her, she was still the same but braver. She seems a very lost and broken horse. She cannot be turned out with a load of horses right now but she can't be turned out alone or she will potentially jump the fence which is 1 meter 10 and we don't want to risk injury.

The two year old filly was walked out of the barn. This was a very sad day for her. It was her Birthday but she couldn't be happy for it because she knew she lost her foalhood that day. That day made her afraid of isolation. Last week when she was turned out she had jumped the large fence. It was a ridiculous height for a foal and it was madness that she cleared it. It was because she was alone. This time, when the filly was put out, there was another filly. A black mare with unusual brindling. They looked at each other with the same expression, shock and fear. Their similar personalities made them both shy of the foreign filly that both had never seen before. Hallelujah warily walked over to the other filly with her head down, trying to not look threatening. The brindle filly backed up a few steps before collecting herself and shyly walked over to the manchado filly. Hallelujah sniffed her slowly and decided she was safe. The same went to the other filly.
"Hi, I'm Hallelujah." She said quietly.
"I'm Whisp." came the reply.
They knew they had to look out for each other.

Since Hallelujah has been with us she has made friends but one horse in particular has stuck by her side the whole time. Whisp. The mares are very similar to each otherbut Whisp being the braver of the two and Hallelujah's rock. When they both got broken in at 3 years old, they comforted each other as they got used to this new routine of the saddle. At three and a half they both finished their training and then they were turned out to mature together.

It was Hallelujah's 4th Birthday. As harsh as it sounds, she had moved on from her mother's death. She had stopped moping on her birthday and learned to enjoy it. All because of her best friend, Whisp. Four was a massive milestone in a horses life. It marked adult hood. When they officially became a mare, stallion or gelding. Not just a filly, colt or gelded colt. Since Whisp was also turning four at a similar time and she was a through and through full Twilight horse with bloodlines trailing to the first Twilight mare, Foxtrot, there would be a party on the one side of the barn. Hallelujah didn't know much about what had happened but she knew the was a massive split in the Twilight Circus because of Whisp's ambitious father which meant only around a quarter of the barn would attend. There would be her, her father and his friends, Hallelujah and Whisp's 'Twin brother' - He wasn't actually her twin but they were born on the same day and have similar colours and names.Other than that it was Hallelujah's first big interaction with other horses and she was determined to not ruin it by backing out!

Her fear of death stems from the night,
when she lost her dear mother and alone she became.
On that summer night, the mare's death gave her a fright.
A young little filly isolated and untame.

Ignored and unwanted, Hallelujah began life,
Convinced death would claim her as it did her mother.
Having met the reaper face to face in strife,
which would come out victorious, one or the other.

'Maybe it would be better off for my masters', she thinks
They clearly don't want her, is it time to accept,
That instead of cheating death and being on the brinks.
But the thought of the reaper plagued her as she slept.

"Come join your parents", it weeps
Calling, ushering and even demanding her return,
Hallelujah doesn't want to be like the other foal's it reaps.
But beautiful life is so precious and it makes her turn.

Death was not happy with her decision to live,
It is waiting for her to make one wrong move,
Hallelujah knows that her life can give,
Constant fear that won't remove.
