Short Story/Sketch/Art: 'Hey!" Memphis barked at a nearby friend of hers. They were up on a hill, on a Sunday afternoon.
The sun was shining, the breeze was blowing, birds were chirping.... except... "I lost my toy Dino- Rex!" cried Memphis.
Her friend, Delilah was good at solving mystery and always loved it. "Where was the last place you saw it?" Delilah had a floppy fedora on that kept falling in her face. "In the sandbox." Memphis whined, her voice unsettled. Delilah walked down to the playground with her magnifying glass. She looked on the slide, high and low she did go. She looked up, down, left, even right! Still no sign of Memphis' prized Rex. Memphis sighed and playfully shoved Delilah. "The sandbox..... Not the slide dummy." Memphis giggled at her friend's clueless behavior. "I knew that!" Delilah climbed back up the slide and swung off the monkey-bars. Landing on the mulch-y ground with a large "Oof!" "I see no Dino here?" Delilah observed, after walking over to the sandbox. "Let's check the hill again!" Her voice was cheerful as she beamed at her friend. Memphis smiled: "Okay!" She followed her friend up the hill. Delilah was at the top. She heaved and sat down on the grass with a heavy sigh. "No luck." Memphis shrugged and all the sudden she fell. She'd tripped on a green, plastic toy. "Is this.... It is! I found it!" She cheered. "Whose the detective now?" She stuck her tongue out playfully at her friend, as they tackled each-other on the hill, rolling down and halting in a giggly pile of laughter.
(Yooo! Keep in mind this was when she was a kid, unless she can be a kid right now
