Chrysaora Basilisk are the prevalent equine creatures that inhabit the world Lucent. They roam by the hundreds, using their unique hooves to score the uneven rock and track down their most vital source of nourishment; evil. The relationship between Chrysaora and humans is a complex one. Chrysaora vocalize like horses, but are also thought to have a syrinx much like birds do and have been recorded displaying a variety of sharp, avian sounds. Their eyes layer over with a dark, murky black until their normal eye color pierces through in a great ball of electric light, radiating toward their victim's open eyes and paralyzing them. The Glare is able to stop both human and creature, and after a few days, unique to other forms of basilisk, the paralyzed being transforms into a sea nettle.

The story goes like this;
A human trapper had stolen many chrysaora foals and was selling them in a underground black market. A organization of people stopped him and rescued the foals, and are now trying to adopt them out. Each of the foals needs an experienced owner to love and raise them. We're counting on you, the members of the chry community, to give these babes a second chance at life.

My baby's story: One day, Aura was roaming with her family. Aura's parents stood in the shade of the tree while she ran around the river. She saw something glisten across the stream. Mother always told her not to go to that side of the river because the HUMANS hunt over there. But she decided that she was old enough and could fight off some measly humans. She approached the shiny object but then saw a pile leaves. Aura loved jumping in leaf piles! Just as she fell into the pile of leaves, She was snagged by a loop around her hooves! She had been captured! She let out a blood-curling call of distress but was too far away that her parents could not get to her in time to save her from the hunter. The hunter tranquilized and blindfolded her to prevent her from paralyzing him. When Aura awoke, she was tied up. All alone in a cell. she heard footsteps and cries of another Chrysaora foal. She knew that where ever she was it wasn’t good. Aura could not see out of the cell because there weren’t any windows. There was only a little slot that the food came through. She was trapped in her cell for weeks and began to grow frail and weak due to malnourishment. That all changed one day when my rescue team and I seized her captors. The was the first cell on the left and I remember peeking into her cell and seeing her limp and frail body. She looked like a skeleton. I slowly opened her cell door and her head did not move. She just laid there. I tranquilized her to make sure that her rescue would be successful.
first encounter: When I got her back to my stables, I had her immediately checked by my vet. Her vitals were normal and luckily none of her organs were shutting down. I extended out my hand to her and she stepped back in fear, but slowly she inched forward towards me. I began to lightly stroke her soft face and I saw her fear melt into calmness. She looked content. After I had finished petting her, she nudged my hand as to tell me to continue giving her attention.
gaining trust: After a week or so, I started to introduce her to my other Chyrsaoras. She seemed very content when meeting my motherly Fantasia. I walked Fantasia and Aura together to reassure Aura that she was safe. When I had time off from work, I would lay in the pastures with her and run with her. Every night, I would tuck her in like she was my little baby. I would show her every tack item that I would put on her. I would let her inspect them and approve them before I would put them on. In the arena, I would walk her through her daily exercises and constantly reward her. I made sure that she was always around my other chyrsaoras so she felt like she had a family. My oldest chrys, Fantasia, gladly took her under her wings which helped speed up Aura's progress with becoming comfortable.
first feeding: The first time I tried to feed Aura was two weeks after I got her. I mixed the oats and barley together in front of her and let her inspect it before she ate it. I fed her with her motherly figure, Fantasia. I fed Fantasia in front of Aura to show her what I was doing. After I had poured the mix into Aura's trough, she stiffed it and hesitantly ate it. Aura seemed to trust me more and more. After that, I extended a carrot out to her. She stiffed that as well and nibbled on it for a while and then wolfed it down. She neighed at me telling me that she wanted more treats but I had to explain to her that she was going to get a little chubby if I gave her any more food.
