name: Ninjin
nickname: Jin
gender: Female
personality:
The constant traveler, Jin never stays in one place for very long. She loves the adventure and the chase for new things, constantly collecting new objects and little trinkets. While she doesn't stay for very long in each place, she does have a home that she goes back to after every trip, or when she's in that part of the world. Her small apartment in the city of Melbourne, Australia is the one place she can also go back to if she ever needs. Not only is it her hometown, but she has her best friend there. A small Egyptian Mau she rescued and had imported. Jin can't stand the thought of cruelty, and is an advocator for human and animal rights, as well as many other world-saving groups like being against the use of coal and fossil fuels. No, Jin is not a Greenie or vegan, though she supports them, she just wants what's best for the environment for everyone.
She is a soft soul; softly spoken and isn't quick to judge. She like to gain insight into the kind of person you are through actions, not words. That doesn't stop her from reading people like a book though, a skill she learned while undertaking a Nursing degree. She supports her travels by working as a freelance Nurse, specializing in immunology. She gains so much from seeing children healthy, and wishes that all children can be healthy and happy in their lives. So, Jin made it her life mission to do just that. The trinkets so brings back are gifts made for her, thank you gifts from parents of the sick. She returns them to her apartment, which acts as a museum to preserve them forever. Jin's landlady looks after and cleans the apartment when she is out helping.
short history story:
It was a cruel summer in Cairo, Egypt, while Jin was assisting a project to immunize children and adults against Hepatitis A. The project lasted for 3 months, and during that time it was dangerous to venture outside the 'safe zone', as the shock-waves from the political protests were still ongoing. However, Jin and some of her colleagues went out on their day off, to see the Sphinx. Whilst there Jin also went to visit the stalls in the market. One of her colleagues pointed out that one of the stalls was crowding animals into cages, and as Jin is against that she called the police. She arranged with an organization back in Australia to quarantine and rehome the animals that could be imported, and humanly destroy those too sick. One of those too sick was the Mau, but Jin was determined to save him. She took him in, bottle fed and never let him leave her warmth. Mew, as he was named, took to medication and was visibly better within 3 weeks. After the project was over Jin took a few months off to dedicate her time to Mew and helping the shelters that received the animals from Egypt.
