please pardon the prolix proportions o3o
please note that all stories are written in a anthro perspective, and due to their serious nature, they don't do a good job of showing his more comical side. ( the 'adventure' will help you to see that ). All dialogue would have been spoken in Spanish.

The Youthful Years // birth -- twelve
          ( the development
Pyrrhos Thatanos Severo was born on October 30, eighteen years ago. He lived in a small broken down house, which beneath the many layers of muck and rot, may have once been white. The household was constantly overflowing with relations and friends and it was by them that he was raised, thus receiving excess amounts of attention. ( which he ended up craving later in life). Although they all cared about little Pyrrhos, they showed their affections in the wrong way. They constantly complained about their situation, pleading to the skies for wealth and good fortune. Through their misconstrued teachings, he grew to despise the rich. Why should they be able to hoard such vast amounts of wealth, when his family needed it far more than anyone in Madrid? The young pup had plans.

The Troubled Teens //thirteen -- fourteen
        (The Transition) (Covert to Overt
Troubled definitely describes this range of years. Through out this span of time Pyrrhos matured, and so did his hate towards the wealthy. Instead of complaining alongside the rest of his family, he took action. He quite suddenly became the main source of income for his family, although they certainly weren't aware of that. Pyrrhos had become a thief, albeit a dashing, handsome one, but a thief all the same. He started with pockets, and went on from there. He was but a blur of movement, a streak of color. He, Pyrrhos Thanatos Severo was invincible. It was shortly after that kind of thinking began that he was caught...

Night had fallen several hours ago, but still the cobblestone burned with the heat of the day. The air was thick with moisture, making breathing seem like manual labor. Windows were open in a fruitless attempt to draw a breeze into their home. The city was quiet, and no one dared move for fear of heating up even further. A figure lingered, a black fedora hiding most of their features. It's perfect. he thought, grinning to himself as he leaned back on a wall, making himself comfortable. Tail flicking back and forth, he nonchalantly took a palm-sized rock from the pocket of his jeans and chucked it at the nearest light-post, cutting out it's light abruptly. The plumerian did this systematically, each on it's mark with a casual well-practiced throw, until the familiar light that usual flooded the streets was replaced with darkness. Canines flashing in his usual display of pleasure, Pyrrhos heaved himself up the wall behind him. Landing roughly, the plumerian stepped back in a moment of admiration as he examined the mansion before him. The villa was probably one of the larger buildings he'd ever seen. Picking through the garden, he locked his eyes on the target. A window, easily 15 feet tall, wide open due to heat, with a trellis directly beneath it. He rolled his eyes, the wealthy: as dumb as they are arrogant. he thought with glee, as he began to nimbly scale the wall. Pulling himself onto the window sill, he crouched there, as if savoring the moment. Before hopping down delicately, sneaking across the empty room. He had surveyed this home for weeks. And he confidently strode towards a large portrait that dominated the wall. Putting his steady grip on the frame, he gave it a small tug, and it swung open on hidden hinges, revealing a safe behind it, with a glowing keypad. Not bothering with a second glance at the series of numbers embedded on the front. Reaching once more into his laden pockets, he palmed a circular object. It was constantly drawn to the surface of the safe, and Pyrrhos constantly had to wrench it backward to stop it from flying forward. Straining backwards so he could place it down gently, he placed it above the keypad. It's all about the solenoid,he thought to himself, sliding the magnet to the right. He pricked his ears, but his efforts didn't have the desired effect on the lock.
"Must be angled." he growled, and with a large heave he slid it diagonally downwards. A soft click sounded and with a triumphant laugh the plumerian opened the safe with one hearty sweeping motion, before reaching in and draping the now exposed jewelry over his shoulders in a merry manner. White enveloped the room suddenly as a flash shattered the shadows that had blanketed the surrounding world. Falling back a few steps blindly, the plumerian rubbed at his eyes, finally allowing them to adjust to a point where they could pick out the figure of a stocky plumerian in the door-way.
"You honestly though I wouldn't be expecting you? thief." the shadow hissed, spitting out the last word like venom. "Hitting every house on the block." continued the voice in a mutter. Eyes wide, Pyrrhos found he no longer felt like a dashing rapscallion, all he felt was fear. He had no means of protection, nothing. And what about jail? He couldn't stay there. No. This couldn't have happened. NO. NO. NO. A second pair of footsteps jolted him out of his state of shock and the young bandit scrambled towards the open window. All former grace and ease lost in the frenzy, the teen lunged towards the open window, practically sliding down the trellis. Landing at an odd angle, Pyrrhos continued limping forward at full speed, the two plumerians giving chase through the garden. His ankle throbbing madly, he managed to heave himself up the bordering wall. The angered owner was a mere tail-length behind him, the second behind by a few inches. The jewelry draped around his neck seemed to burn into his skin. Jumping forward, Pyrrhos roared in agony as he hit the ground. His weight distributed to his injured ankle. Collapsing in a wounded heap, he hung his head in defeat. Peering over warily at the oncoming plumerians, he felt an immense sense of dread. Revealing his fangs, Pyrrhos growled, eyes darting around madly like a cornered animal. The two plumerians simply chuckled, they were subdued, by the single and simplistic variable of the thief's undeniable youth. It was somewhat awe-inspiring that a boy of such youth, could be so successful a thief.
"Wait, I've seen you before... somewhere. " the first exclaimed. Picking him up roughly, he relieved Pyrrhos off the jewels he was carrying, before glancing around the empty street. There was a large moment of silence. Pyrrhos kept his eyes firmly fixed on the road below him, determined not to give them anything to identify him by. A single rebellious tear tore a path down his cheek, before falling away. "Oh yes, I know you, you're that boy my daughter has been fawning over for months!" Despite the on-going events, the defeated adolescent forced a winning grin.
" Ooh-That's the place Pyrrhos goes!" the first plumerian continued, adopting a high-pitched voice in imitation of his daughter. "Do you think Pyrrhos would like this dress?" "He-he didn't even notice me daddy." "I'm not good enough." "And after all that, you're nothing but a thief." returning to his former grim tone on his last few words.
Pyrrhos only shrugged, still grinning. Which was quickly knocked out of him with a cuff to the side of the head.
"C'mon." the first plumerian grunted, before dragging Pyrrhos to his feet. They led him forward slowly, Pyrrhos limping forward, between regular fights for freedom. However the path they were taking soon became familiar, and his eyes only widened. Noticing his shock, one of his captors chuckled. "Well, you may be just a thief but you're also just a boy."
        ...
Pyrrhos watched silently as they pounded on the door of his home. This was a good thing, right? he thought desperately to himself. my family, they'll understand right? After all, I only did this for them. To support them... the teen rationalized as the door creaked open. Wide eyes peeked out from behind the door. The two plumerians shoved him down on his hands and knees as he looked up at his mother pleadingly.
"This worthless scrap was caught stealing from us."
Her jaw fell open. "But-I-He-wh-oh Pyrrhos. How could you do this?
"But-but Mama!" Pyrrhos interrupted. "I-I did this all for you!" "All the jewels, every night!" He continued, blabbering at this point.
"My boy, you have been so foolish. We already ha-"
He wrenched his arms away from his captors, snarling. "What are you SAYING?! OF COURSE YOU WANT THEM. This is ALL you ever wanted, all you ever wished for!"
"No my boy all I wan-"
"I- I risked my LIFE for this. REPEATEDLY. A-AND suddenly, NOW it's not good enough for YOU?!
        "Let me finish!"
Pyrrhos suddenly fell silent, his voice but a whisper. "All those years with you pleading and begging for something different?
        "Oh Pyrrhos, I'm sorry."
He shook his head. "Yeah. So am I. For bothering with you." he growled pushing his way out of the small crowd that had formed.
They didn't try to stop him, they just watched silently in shock as he stormed away muttering curses beneath his breath, until he faded away into the night.

The Recent Past // fifteen -- eighteen ( last year )
( and how it happened )
The sun was setting in the distance as he waved goodbye. Giving her a winning smile and a small salute, he watched as her figure disappeared down the road. Her name was Celestia, and she was just one of many. He had been living on his own for four years now. For four years he had hardly slept, oh no. He was for too busy 'bettering himself'. Trying to make up for the night he failed. No longer would he feel such fear, such defenselessness. Every night was spent learning. The sword was what he needed: to fill the hole. Or at least that's what he told himself. He was getting himself in shape, so he would never have to feel fear again. Not of being alone, not of dying, nothing. And as soon as he was satisfied, that he was ready to fight off fear, he made a place for himself.
And boy was he enjoying it...
Slipping down a nearby alley Pyrrhos returned to the game at hand. He wrinkled his muzzle in distaste as cigarette smoke clouded the air, as he neared his destination. It was the usual garbage filled alley-way. Tagged with graffiti and a large array of faded posters. Coming to a halt in front of a large piece of plywood, he slid it to the side revealing a door-way. Ducking into it without hesitation, he blindly pulled the sheet back into position before continuing onward, nodding his acknowledgment at a pair of plumerians guarding the entrance. Slipping past, the room quickly became more spacious. The harsh scent of cigarette smoke was overpowering. Poker tables were littered across the room, a large amount of rough-edged plumerians were seated around.
Fanning the smoke away from his muzzle, the plumerian cleared his throat. "Mind cutting back on the smoke a bit?" he smirked.
"Ah yes, of course." One hesitant plumerian responded.
"So." Pyrrhos announced with a clap. "When's the next game starting?" he asked excitedly, eager for any opportunity to drain his 'friends' of their cash. "A-Actually,Um. Mr. Severo, someone is here to see you."
He raised an eyebrow inquisitively, running a hand through his hair absentmindedly. "Care to be more specific, Mr. Ceryll?"
        "Er- another challenger."
Looking him up and down, Pyrrhos was skeptical, such stuttering and hesitation was not a good sign. "And?"
"And, see for yourself I suppose." he responded, gesturing behind him.
Spinning on his heel, he found himself face to face with the aforementioned opponent. He was draped in a thick fur-cloak, however it was unable to hide the extravagant suit beneath. Clearly he was someone of stature and wealth. Why he would bother coming here however, to an underground gambling system, was a mystery. Few dared, in fear of being caught there, and simply waited for a 'better time'.
"You are the alleged master of the sword?"
"Hardly alleged." He responded with a grin, placing a paw on the handle of his rapier, which hung at his side. "I'm not half-bad at poker either." he continued with a grin, nodding towards the poker tables behind him.
"Pity, I had hoped I would find a challenge here. Instead I'm faced with an arrogant adolescent." he replied in a disdainful tone ignoring the secondary comment.
Pyrrhos chuckled in reply, trying to seem as mature as possible in this situation. However he was getting pretty annoyed at being judged by his age. He was an adult, and he had been for several months now.
"This is quite disappointing actually. It took me months to track you down. Your stories run rampant in the streets, and yet no one knows who you are."
"I'll take that as a compliment." he replied coolly, growing bored of his challengers speech.
The plumerian simply scoffed in reply. "Either way, follow me."
        "Pardon?"
"Well you could hardly expect us to fight here, now can you?"
"I was under the impression that you were far too high and mighty to bother with an "arrogant adolescent" such as myself."
"Then I'm afraid you were under the wrong impression Mr. Severo." he countered in a strained voice. " I have every intention of showing you you're place."
Raising an eyebrow, Pyrrhos simply nodded, before gesturing to the exit. "Lead the way."
        ...
One very awkward car ride later, they arrived at Pyrrhos's opponents supposed ideal location. Which happened to be a mansion, with an estate that stretched farther than the eye could see.
Pyrrhos was a bit more than skeptical. "Really?"
The pompous plumerian growled, "I'm growing tired of your incessant comments and mindless questions. If I say it is suitable, then for god's sake it is!"
        "..."
"Let's just get on with your defeat." he snarled.
Rolling his eyes Pyrrhos trailed after the big-shot as he strutted importantly towards his house.
"Wait here boy, and I know this is hard for you to understand, but don't touch anything." He spat, emphasizing his words as if he was a preschooler.
He had a right mind to leave, but at this point, he wanted to deflate that engorged head of his. And the best way to do that? Stomp that pompous blowhard into the ground. Drawing his rapier, Pyrrhos gave a few practiced thrusts, before drawing his blade upwards, centimeters away from his muzzle. I have nothing to fear, he thought to himself, steeling his mind. It was something he told himself often, so often that at this point it was hard to determine whether it was true or not. Pricking his ears forward he watched as a large trail of finely dressed men and women trailed out of the house. Leading them was his opponent, smiling as smugly as ever.
"Well, I needed someone to witness my victory now didn't I?"
However Pyrrhos completely disregarded him, and instead took to grinning devilishly at the few ladies present, who giggled in response, hiding their blushing cheeks from behind their fans.
Scowling, Pyrrhos's smug adversary took to herding the group to a large circular patch of dirt among the trimmed grass, before drawing his sword with a flourish. Lifting his blade, Pyrrhos assumed a fighting stance.
        And begin.
Their swords were lightning, striking and striking, with thunderous clashes. A bitter taste formed on the audiences' tongues as they tried to decipher the blurs of movement. There was nothing to do but wait, but they weren't sentenced to such a fate for long. Within a few seconds, a loud metallic screech erupted as the count's rapier was sent soaring to the side. Grinning madly, Pyrrhos sheathed his sword. "I suppose that'll teach you t-"
        "NO!" he screeched
"HOW DARE YOU you dirty riff-raff!"
Pyrrhos backed away a few steps, confused.
        "You cheated, Staff, get him!"
Pyrrhos was in mid snarl when something knocked him over the head, harder then he would have though possible.
        ...
When he regained consciousness, the world was dark. He wasn't with in the estate of that-that-or perhaps he was. It was hard to tell. In fact, he could have been anywhere. Pyrrhos struggled blindly to his feet. He felt a soft touch on his shoulder, and he whipped around. There was nothing but nothing, an eternal black abyss. It was still there, that pressure on his shoulder. A soft feminine voice muttered a few things that he couldn't quite pick out. But it didn't matter, oh his sword was at his side yes. But he was once again defenseless. Fear throttled his throat. Was someone speaking? Yes someone was speaking-no shouting in his ear. Now that he came to think of it, that hurt.
        "PYRRHOS! PYYRRHOS! HELLO?"
        "WHAT?!" he shouted back angrily.
        "I-It's me."
The plumerian choked back a sob. "Sorry, you'll have to be more specific."
"What do ya mean? You aren't- oh. You aren't pulling my leg are you?"
"Am I? I can't tell." he snarled bitterly
"Oh no. Oh no oh no oh no."
"Ooh! Here's a new thought! Oh no!" Pyrrhos said mock-enthusiastically, his words dripping with sarcasm.

        The Current Year // nineteen
It took months. I staggered around for months. You wouldn't believe half of the stuff I tried. To cure my blindness I mean. 'Magic this'- 'scientifically proven that'. I was open to any and all ideas. More like desperate really. The funny thing? I don't quite know who cured my blindness. I woke up, and I just saw again. Maybe it was magic, or science, or maybe they healed on their own, with a slight twist of course. An odd aura that radiates from my pupils. It's rather unsatisfying don't ya think? Not knowing just what cured me. Or if anything did at all, if it was just temporary and the whole eye "smoke" thing is just a side-effect. All I know is that I'm back baby! And fighting harder than ever. In the end, I doubt it matters what cured me. 'Cause I can spin one heck of story. Let's see... it was dark stormy night, and I was surrounded, armed with only my wits and my two bare paws....

      Image

      Image

        So, Pyrrhos... tell us
        about yourself

        ‣ "age?"
        -- 19

        ‣ "why the sword? why not a gun, or something more efficient? This is the modern age you know."
-- First of all, I use a rapier, which is far different then your ordinary sword. Second, the sword has honor. I know it seems funny, that I start caring about honor now, after stealing and whole other array of activities that may appear to the untrained eye, as 'illegal', but when it comes to life and death, there is honor to uphold.

        ‣ "any future careers in mind?"
-- Pardon? I do believe I already have a full time job...being me. It takes a lot a sacrifice, I know. But I'm worth it.

        ‣ "Sexuality?"
-- Let me put it this way, send my regards to all the ladies.

        ‣ "Where do you live?"
-- Madrid. But if you meant that in the way of housing, that's a bit more difficult. I don't sleep a lot, so I don't usually have to worry about it. Generally I crash in the nearest hotel, but I do own an extremely small apartment, where I stash my valuables, clothing, etc.

        ‣ "Clothing?"
--Hmm, that varies depending on my focus. Thievery- er wealth redistributing calls for black, perhaps a cloak. Fencing: something comfortable, I don't know. The ladies: perhaps a tux once in a while, usually just a t-shirt and jeans... why?
