-------Valdis was born in the Dusk Maji pack. Though, since his jewel was red, he was forced to leave and join the Moto pack. He reacted really badly to this. Even if he was just a pup, he struggled against it. It was only when hisＨＩＳＴＯＲＹ
parents came to him and told him exactly why he couldn't stay. He's still bitter about it even now.
-------After settling into his new pack, he had gotten a great mentor that he admired a lot. It was them who had trained him to become the sentinel he is. The two became very close, and he even took to calling his mentor 'mom'!
-------It was shortly after he had graduated when the pack was attacked by a bear. Of course, his mentor was very old by then, so the bear had injured them fatally. It was an amazing experience for Val, and experienced great unity when fighting alongside his pack. It was only when the heat of battle was dissipating that he saw his teacher bleeding out. Distraught, he'd brought him to the healer, but the healer said it wouldn't be possible to have them live. He grew deluded, and refused to accept that his mentor was dying. Once he was dead, it took a lot of time to recover and properly mourn.
-------The one that had helped him through it was another xholi named Solis. Solis was from the Dawn clan, but despite this, they met on the regular and grew close. Eventually, it turned into something else, and they found themselves in the middle of a big problem. If anyone were to find out that they were romantically involved, it could possibly mean banishment.
-------Valdis even knew a xholi they were planning to bond with to appear less suspicious, but they were the one that ended up threatening their relationship. When they had found out that he was with a member of the Dawn, they threatened to tell the pack leader. He couldn't have that. It turned into a deadly fight, one where he ended up having to burn them alive. He regrets this terribly, and fights hard to push it out of his mind.
-------Many moons later, a xholi by the name of Sakae had told him that she had witnessed the fight, and demanded an explanation. He recognized her, and remembered that he had been a part of a grim conflict that had begun with her bitterness towards the Dawn clan, and ended in two deaths. He used this as blackmail, and so she left him alone after that. He doesn't like it, but he's slowly beginning to lose the strong morals he had once as a pup.

Valdis isn't as much solitary as he is secretive. Keeping to himself and limiting social interaction would be much too suspicious, and would make him paranoid to no end. ＰＥＲＳＯＮＡＬＩＴＹ
He can get much too paranoid for his own good. He befriends other xholis and creates alliances, but there are only a few relationships that he takes seriously. By nature, he is an introvert, so all of this tires him. At the end of the day, he just wants to recharge on his own with some alone time.
He takes things literally, and has no humor. Val doesn't get jokes sometimes, but usually just laughs along like he gets it. Spoiler: he doesn't.
Valdis could be considered a huge softie, due to the fact that he feels sentiment for a lot of things. A gift from a xholi will become something worth more than food in a famine.

ＲＥＬＡＴＩＯＮＳ
Solis - He/him - Scout - Dawn Moto - Boyfriend - Positive
-------The single one that Valdis trusts and loves the most; Solis. These two have known each other since they were just apprentices underneath their mentors, but their relationship wasn't what it is now what it was then. They actually started out pretty cold to each other. In the beginning, they only caught glimpses of each other. Mostly when Val was watching during the day, or when Solis was scouting at the darker hours. Motivated by interest, Valdis purposefully went out of his way to come in contact with him.
-------They comforted each other when things were going bad. It's because telling secrets to each other was easy. What they were doing every day was against customs and heavily frowned upon, so they had a fundamental trust from the beginning.
-------These two get caught sometimes, of course. Solis deals with them much better than Valdis does.
Sakae - She/her - Scout - Dusk Maji - Recipient of blackmail - Negative
-------Sakae and Valdis knew each other before Valdis had to leave Maji for Moto. His parents had known from the beginning that he would have to leave, but decided to keep him in the pack for as long as possible anyway.
-------They played together, but a bit too roughly. It was when Val had gotten injured that his parents made him stay away from her.
-------Valdis later met with her again after secretly meeting. They both knew huge secrets about each other, so they exchanged blackmail to keep each other from tattling. His pack mates mention how he used to be friends with her, and how he should go see her again. He always says she's too busy.
Isra - She/her - Sentinel - Dusk Moto - Competitor - Positive
-------Valdis is great friends with Isra. When he had first come to Moto, he was really upset and down. Isra noticed this, and decided to help him by starting some friendly competition. They both trained under the same savant, and often showed off for each other to see. Their savant often got annoyed with them, but a relationship like this was just what he needed to get him settled in to his new life in Moto. He could be silly around her, and that was very freeing.
