Question about the history portion- are we to assume that the lion's existence began with the blood moon event? Or were they normal lions that were summoned with the appearance of the blood moon? Hopefully this made sense :)

Yes, the lions existence began with the blood moon! However, it is possible these lions had a life before the blood moon.....they just can't remember it....or the images trickle in and out almost like it never happened. They would not have been born in the lions home world if they did have a life before the blood moon....
