Aruna picks her head up from the dusty ground, revealing a noseprint in the dirt before she sneezes her nose clean. The hunting period was over as the sun began to set, casting long shadows of trees on the ground. She was sleeping, waiting for her companion. Synes laughs behind her, entertained. They slowly come up beside Aruna until they sit in the dirt beside her. They lean slightly against her. It had been a long time since Synes showed such outward affections towards anyone, considering his offputting initial demeanor.

"Rough day at work, Synes?"
"Same as usual. It feels good to be back, though."

They sit, side-by-side, watching the sun melt into the horizon. Each pelt is far different than the other but their hearts and heads are aligned. While Synes spends his days out teaching the yearlings gathering techniques, Aruna hunts for their tribe's prey. She remembers the day Synes became Savant and her radiant pride in their accomplishment. This pride and comfort they receive from each other's separate work shows through their teamwork in other aspects of life. This sunset is the first of many to come for this pair.

The Shaman gives a sign to the new parents to follow.
