Chrysaora Basilisk are the prevalent equine creatures that inhabit the world Lucent. They roam by the hundreds, using their unique hooves to score the uneven rock and track down their most vital source of nourishment; evil. The relationship between Chrysaora and humans is a complex one. Chrysaora vocalize like horses, but are also thought to have a syrinx much like birds do and have been recorded displaying a variety of sharp, avian sounds. Their eyes layer over with a dark, murky black until their normal eye color pierces through in a great ball of electric light, radiating toward their victim's open eyes and paralyzing them. The Glare is able to stop both human and creature, and after a few days, unique to other forms of basilisk, the paralyzed being transforms into a sea nettle.

The story goes like this;
A human trapper had stolen many chrysaora foals and was selling them in a underground black market. A organization of people stopped him and rescued the foals, and are now trying to adopt them out. Each of the foals needs an experienced owner to love and raise them. We're counting on you, the members of the chry community, to give these babes a second chance at life.

Gaining Trust
Pyxis had hatched a couple of days ago and even though xe could walk, eat, sleep, and go about xis business as much as xe pleased, xe didn't seem to really pay me any mind. At first, I wondered if xe didn't like me since xe never came right over but soon after I realized that xe didn't notice me enter unless I was in view. After a quick liaison with the vet, I learned of Pyxis' partial deafness and knew I had to help the little one to bond.
One morning after my rounds of feed were done, I gave xim xis bottle and sat on xis hearing side while gently crooning to xim. As xe happily suckled, I stroked xim and began to sing and hum. Once Pyxis polished off the bottle, xe turned to me and cocked xis ear to listen. As I kept humming, I soon heard a squeak and nicker as if in response. I smiled and continued our duet until my lips began to itch from the constant vibration. But when I stopped, I was met with insistent squeaks and gentle nudges for more and easily conceded.
Every time I was in Pyxis' company, I found a melodious tune to our voices. Xe was constantly whickering and snuffling in unison to my songs as if my raspy tones were music to xis ear. With every semitone, xe trusted me more and found a companion with me and as xe grew lankier by the day, I couldn't have been happier. Soon xe filled in and xis voice dropped and our duet changed again but still sounded just as beautiful as that first day.
