honey bee, honey bee, why don't you come back to me?
princess, queen bee: i'll follow you to the moon
it all started on a late mudsummer's day.
that day when the life of birch, a
young female pup in her clan, was changed - forever.
her clan was a large thing: it had a alpha and a beta,
apprentices, pups, hunters, healers, guards, etc. and
everyone as happy. the system worked so well because the
alpha had a iron grip.. but no one was smart enough to realize it.
everyone was simple and normal and the same. this was the alpha's
plan; if they all thought the same way, he had control over all of them.
but the system was flawed, and one rebel warg would bring it all down.

and so it was.

birch was different, she felt it; her mother did, too. today, her mother
noticed something: wings. little wings beginning to sprout: birch's mother was
different, and she knew the alpha's plan. when she saw the wings, she knew what would
happen: the alpha would kill birch. he would make it seem like a terrible accident, that
a rival clan had killed her, and they would believe it. "birch," she whispered to the child one
night. "run. run, never come back." she scooted her out of camp and pointed into the darkness.
"there is a prophecy, that a child will come." her mother sighed. "she will have the courage and wings
of a falcon, and the loyalty and horns of a ram. she will have two tails and eyes sky blue; her orb will
be pure starlight. oh, honey that's you. you will save us!" she said the last pert too loudly. behind her, there was the alpha. "well, well, well.." he boomed. "what do we have here? two rebels. and the golden child!
why don't you stay a while?" he sprinted to her mother and slammed into her. "go." birch's mother whispered with her final breath. "save me. save us. run, golden child.." and then she was silenced. birch sobbed as she raced into darkness, trying to remember what her mother say - no, said. 'stars shine brighter in the darkness' and birch began her life.

thank you so much! I have a plan for birch, which is basically that the prophecy was wrong and birch wasn't "the golden child" after all: it's was just a mistake. birch was heart broken and made a deal with a dark magic warg to erase her memory of the mistaken destiny. the deal was that she would regain that memory when she fell in love with another warg.
gosh, I'm so excited!!
