The origin of this particular species is unknown. It is guess that it was the iqena who sparked the mythos of unicorns, pegasus, kirin, and hundreds more that have become legend. Thousands of years of speculation and wonder have led to the constant search of this elusive species.

Iqena are commonly friendly towards any creature of any world. Their peaceful souls only adding to the mystery of their vast variations. Even the youngest of iqena are clueless to their biological origin. Some say that they are born from the mind, much like the goddess Athena.

this little sun is covered with dust and mud, and is getting a little annoyed.

Apparently they are looking for their "domain", as they haven't quite settled on one yet, but they are being quite fussy about it. This sun will not settle on some plot of land, they are looking for a creature, or perhaps an object.

Once they have finally chosen, they'll clean themselves up to at least look presentable for their new "domain" and will do their best to keep themselves as such

Each individual of the Iqena species watches over a specific area or universe as a guardian. This is not the case for every iqena as it isn't uncommon for universes to be destroyed or for general locations to become too pathetic to watch over, occasionally they can watch over a single being. But, in general every one of these angelic cervids watches over an area and the beings within it. The most common locations in a universe are; shallow seas/oceans, areas with an abundance of foliage, creature-oriented areas(cities, towns, etc.), and desert-like plains. These can vary from universe to universe, seeing as how purely tropical universes and purely technologic universes exist.

The cause for what gives an iqena a specific affixiation for a location is a mystery. It can be linked with the being's past life or simply for it's personal taste of favorites.

Cosmos domain is a star, One of the softest colored stars at that. You could say he is "among the cosmos".

Why choose this?;;
Cosmos looks as though he could sit on a star and look among the galaxy and he completely okay with. Also from the little blue, white, and purple bits poking out, it inspired the whole "Galaxy/ Star" thing and i absolutely fell in love with the idea. Since he looks as though he would be very sweet but a large recluse, this is also a nice place for him. He gets to see space and see other beautiful places from afar.

He is doing great he is very happy, although sometimes he gets lonely. Altogether he is very pleased with his choice in the stars. The heat keeps him fairly warm which he enjoys.

It was something that just clicked. Shiro was watching the ocean, curious as to about life below the dark depths of the sea. Shiro was doing nothing when he saw something small just below the surface. Being very curious by nature, Shiro went down to look. He saw a young moon jellyfish all alone. He nudged the little thing, frightened by it almost. He never saw anything like it. This little jelly fish was all alone, and seem so alone. He wanted to help it. With the urge to help, he felt something click into place. He wanted it. He wanted or protect the small thing. To Shiro, it seemed so weak. Right then and there, he found what he had been looking for. Shiro never saw such a beautiful creature, and because of that, he really wanted to protect and preserve its beauty.
How are they doing right now / are they happy with their choice?;;
Shiro could not have been happier. After months of searching and fussing over what he wants, he found what he wanted to protect and watch over. Right now, he is preparing on how to carry the little jelly fish around with him, or find a special home for the lonely jelly fish. Shiro is doing rather well, but keeps running into bumps on the road on how he wants to keep the jellyfish close to him, and alive. This is making things a bit harder, but the little Iqena knows that he can find a way, and he will, because he found his ‘domain’ and he will make sure it is very well cared for, so he is preparing for that.

❝It was a cold night when Ranor first encountered the
creature calling itself Ezhno. Ez was cold, dismissive,
and wandering, but Ranor sensed something under his
hardened exterior, a lonely, troubled soul. Ranor
attempted to talk with Ez, but to no avail. Ezhno
answered everything with a single, sharp word, and made
no other attempts to speak. Ranor, getting rather irritated,
and not fully understanding why the other would not
accept what he so desperately needed, company, decided
to follow the lost soul. They were both wanderers, why
not wander together?
Ezhno grew more and more irritated with the iquena,
eventually even snapping at him, but Ranor did not budge.
He would not be swayed from the task he had decided to
undertake.

As the days past with still no sign of Ezhno opening up,
Ranor began to think of other way he could help, and,
whilst staring at the sunset, Ezhno pretending to sleep
meters away, Ranor realised something, and smiled.
I am a wanderer… I have not yet chosen my domain…
Well. I have now.❞

❝[i]Why did I bother…
That one phrase, spinning around Ranor’s head as he leapt
out of the way of Ezhno’s flashing teeth… again.
Ezhno had become increasingly hostile as the months had
past, often causing the well-meaning iquena to trail behind
by at least 100 meters, but Ranor was determined not to
give up. The previous night, Ezhno had opened up, just a
tad, sitting beside Ranor and watching the sun drift lazily
downwards before being engulfed by the horizon. Ezhno
had talked a little too, not much, and definitely no sign of
an apology, but it was something. It was a tiny glimmer of
hope that maybe Ranor could help. Maybe… It would just
take time.

He’s confident in his decision, despite the heartache, the
pain, the disappointment.
It’s all worth it for the color of the setting sun on Ez’s fur.
The softened eyes watching the sun breathe it’s last for the night.
The faint smile on his lips when the sun dropped below the dusty
horizon, supposedly masking expressions.❞

Dusty really has no way of explaining their gender, so that makes them some form of cryptogender. Any pronouns are fine with them.

why choose this?

At first, they were just stopping by the orphanage to escape the bad storm outside. The children, overjoyed by the guest, began feeding them. Of course, they stuck around. Food is hard to come by when you're a nomad. Quickly, the parentless kids grew on them. They tried to deny it at first, but they soon discovered that they'd come to love each and every orphan in the shelter.

They're doing fine... For the most part, anyway. Children aren't the most gentle creatures. They aren't the most boring, either, though! It's fun being around them, even if they get too touchy or rough at times.

♚ ⇢Why chose this?;; There's not denying that Swahili fell in love with the little
teacup. He had never seen one before this particular one, and it was by far the
cutest thing he had ever seen. Although there was a problem.. This little teacup
looked very fragile. Swahili swore to protect this little teacup, and so he did.
Wherever he goes, so does his teacup. Often times other see him and think he's just
looking for a beverage, and has even offered him to come in for a drink, although he
insist he have his cup of tea (He doesn't digest coffee too well) in a different cup. He
feels it'd be awkward or wrong to drink out of his best friend.

He's happy with his choice, of course, although it keeps him on his toes and
rather anxious at times. Because the cup is porcelain he must take great care not to
break it. Not to say the cup hasen't suffered through their years together.. The once
perfect teacup has now suffered quiet the damage points to Swhali's dismay! It was his
fault, though. The cup has been smashed in completely on one side, and the handle
broken off, but don't underestimate Swhaili! No sir. He took his precious time getting
that cup superglued back together and even taped for an extra "safety layer" he felt
was needed. Nothing can come between him and his beloved teacup. In fact, he's
gotten his ear 'tagged' such as cattle ranchers do with their cattle, but his doesn't have
a number, and, well, has a tea bag hanging from it. Purely out of love and dedication
to his teacup.
