summer reaction;

The filly opened her eyes. She gasped as she saw the sun pour through the window of her stall. Her mother's eyes shot open in surprise which quickly turned to amusement. Otis turned to her dam and whinnied in surprise. Her mother gave a warm whicker back. The filly craned her neck to try and look through the window. She got a faint whiff of lush green grass. Otis turned and pranced around the stall flicking her little bush tail.
Soon, the stablehand came around the corner, today was going to be the first day they were allowed to be about, due to a recent bout of horrific storms that flooded the fields and made it unusable for 3 months, the horses hadn't been out. Otis had only been born about 2 and a half months ago, so she hadn't been going out but soon she would be able to try the rich grass which the fruits of the storm had harvested. The stablehand was putting the mares with foals at foot out first. Foxtrot and Raven, Dream and Fritz, Dove (Raven's best friend) and Chime and Train, a half brother and sister who had both been weaned early and sent back home to The Twilight Circus. The mares soon started to bask in the summer sun while the foals frolicked and played together enjoying the heat. Otis was awed by the vibrant colours, the happy chirping of the birds and the gentle swaying of the trees. She watched her mother, surrounded by the other mares, graze peacefully occasionally flicking flies off of them with their long tails. The sun shone down on the horses and it was perfect. Otis with her foal friends playing and galloping together. She wished this wouldn't end, ever. What a time to be alive!

name; Not a Cloud in the Sky // Apollo
gender; Stallion
halter color; like a shining sun
summer reaction; Apollo found summer magical, the sun would come out everyday and keep him warm, unlike in the spring when he was born, when the snow still covered the ground, and the sun did little to keep him warm. In the summer Apollo saw everything change and the snow never return and to him that was magic in it self.

gender; stallion
halter color; auburn
summer reaction; The first rays of light tickled my muzzle and I flinched, my eyes flicking open without my own will wanting To. Fresh daisies brushed my legs and swayed slowly in the gentle breeze. The field stretched in front of my tired eyes for miles. Not a sound filled my ears except the soft chirping of morning birds singing along with the rising sun. Hot air filled my lungs with a satisfying breath. A warm feeling rose from my hooves to the tips of my mane, literally and metaphorically. Nothing compares to waking up to the first official day of summer.

summer reaction; Start's first reaction to the summer season is excitement. She'll go out and frolic with the foals, eat the crap out of the grass, and enjoy getting sprayed with the hose (In the face, actually. She likes that). Of course, she ends up getting tired from the heat and will spend that rest of the time standing under one of the massive oak trees in the pasture.

Maybe WIP?

hello, bonjour
please call me believe

herro der mes amis, i am believe. proud canadian, ottb loving, colt breaking, nfr dreaming. pictured on the left is my racetrack reject, landofmakebelieve, aka molly, moo, shmoo, whatever name comes to mind x] molly is a 10 year old canadian bred thoroughbred mare, and standing at about 16.2hh, we look a little wonky when we chase cans, but la dee da that's alright. molly and i tried several disciplines. i tried desperately to get her to catch on to dressage, but unfortunately, she still has the race bred mind and is all go. however, together we found a discipline which we could both enjoy; western gaming. this summer we started travelling to barrel races locally. our current record on a standard size pattern is 17.314 and we are improving with every run. and to all the low budget barrel racers out there such as myself, a word of advise; chin up darling. you may not have a million dollar mount under your butt, but you and your crossbred, rejected, hard headed, rescue baby can do it. you know why? cause those girls sitting in their custom circle y's, upon shiny, top of the line mounts are full of themselves. they think there's no way they can lose. they get cocky. stay humble, believe in yourself, in your horse, and most importantly ride your little heart out.
