Vespere hides his eyes out of a fear that his emotions will be seen. Normally he keeps a barrier between him and the real world, putting up a facade, but his eyes show his true feelings. The feelings only he can know and the feelings he has felt and yet to feel all lie there.

Parabolt has a rare condition known as "tetrachromacy", a condition that makes their eyes far more sensitive to color than other's. Often times this can be overwhelming to them if they're surrounded by a large amount of different colors. Usually to avoid being overwhelmed they hide their eyes under their hair, since it is a much more toned down color.

The heart of this Harmonia, the tree she is
connected to, is a rare undiscovered species.
It is a cross between willow and white birch
trees. This explains both her coloration and
her hair. Her family was the first to cultivate
these trees, and the only reason they have
survived. So, once Willow was born.. Certain
attributes were seen.

One was her shaggy hair. The hair Willow has
represents how a willow trees leaves flow, and
thus she never cuts it because she loves the
connection it gives her both to her soul tree as
well as her family.

Buseo have a fear towards bright lights [which is pretty ironic] also known as 'Heliophobia'. Not only that, he also have 'Photophobia'. Photophobia isn't fear of 'photos', but a condition that makes the eye of those that have it 'burns' when they see a source of light. Buseo thinks it's cool and makes him 'awesome' and 'special snowflake', but it's actually a huge pain in the eye. His eyes would tear up randomly from time to time because of this.

I just don't like them, is that such a crime?
People seem to assume they know exactly why I hide
them, 'did they bully you?' adults would coo, 'can you
hypnotize people with them?' children would ask, 'do you think
they're strange, or weird?' my parents would shrug.

I never really understood why any of them thought they knew exactly
how I felt without ever asking or attempting to talk to me about it.
So sooner or later I just stopped telling people my reason, let them
hypothesize for themselves. I honestly don't care what they think.

They're just eyes.
