is often seen wearing them comfortably around her neck. The headphones
were a gift from Pine. (If the batteries are dead, she'll wear her back up headphones,
or borrow a friend's pair.) These two items are her most prized possessions.[/color] [/size]

the edge of the Hudson River the day of her second birthday. It's smooth and
perfectly circular, light blue in color, with pale pink flecks and a light sheen.
She wears this stone on a simple black string around her neck. The stone is
connected to the string by a wire, which is detachable. If the string ever breaks or
frays, Ayita can simply remove the stone and put it on another string. The stone
and wire are fully waterproof, and can seemingly withstand all amounts of pressure.
They're hard to dent, and have no scratches on the surface. [/color] [/size]

not too long ago. The pen was small but mighty. The comfortable flow of the black
ink allowed Ayita to write her fears, her worries, her panic and her pain away.
Although the pen has long since run out of ink, Ayita cherishes the pen, believing
that, like the stone, it is her good luck charm and it will always allow her the power
to, essentially, write herself a new chapter of her life.[/color][/size]

I only try out for characters
if I honestly connect with them,

My characters actually have a
tendency to reflect my current

play quite an important role in my life,
their duties ranging from keeping
my mind occupied in boring classes
to sitting on my bed in stuffed animal

account and am waiting for my

I take advanced classes and
I'm currently on the path to become an
equine vet.
I enjoy writing and drawing quite a bit.
I love construct short stories,

[size=85][color=#808080]The second I saw Ayita, a strong character concept came to mind. I've only ever connected with a bean like this once before, but this is the first time I've ever tried out for one. I became determined to win her somehow, but it took me quite awhile after she was posted for me to build up the courage to even try. I've been wanting to join the bean community for awhile (I recently joined the JBD hangout, just awaiting account approval) and Ayita just clicked with me. The way her character developed actually ended up a lot like me, both in her personality, history, and behavior, so that has helped me connect with her more. I love the entire Poodle family and would love to become apart of it. I feel like I can provide a loving, caring and active home for her, and I would love a chance to do so. 

Should I win her, I would treat Ayita like a queen. She would be spoiled with art, roleplays, a mate...the works. In addition, I sometimes create mini plushies or stuffed animals of my characters,  and, I assure you, I would make at least one plushie of Ayita.
She would frequent my writing, my sketches, and, per usual, drive my teachers crazy with her presence on my
notes and homework. Should I win, Ayita would be displayed in my signature, my avatar,  likely even my laptop / cellphone wallpaper. [/color][/size]

Her body was small and hairless, her senses still sealed off. The young bean’s breath had been coming in short gasps and bursts ever since she was born, and her extremities had begun to take on an odd blue saturation due to oxygen deprivation. A hacking cough, often followed by a pitiful wheeze, seemed to follow the bean wherever she went. It was like a parasite, clinging to the pup and sucking the life out of her. In addition, the bean’s digestive system never reached its full developmental status, and, as a result, she only managed to digest about half the nutrients from her food, requiring the young bean to eat twice the normal amount of food that typical beans her age consumed. Between gasping and coughing fits, the bean would mew and yelp out of hunger, leading to many sleepless nights for the Poodle family. Her limbs and entire body was extremely skinny due to lack of nutrients, and nobody expected her to make it. Even her parents, heartbroken and sad, hadn’t expected the child to live. But they hoped she would.

And she did.

On her first month of age, she was deemed healthy and fit to receive a name. Votes were cast and the name “Ayita” was suggested. The name meant many things. In one language it could be translated to “the first to dance”. The baby’s energetic and spontaneous personality matched the name's explanation without a doubt. Another meaning meant “under dog”, which the child had certainly been. The third and final translation meant “little fire”. And Ayita, as she was named, certainly had a fire burning within her. One that burned so brightly that it blinded those around her. A fire burned within her, fueled by her desire to live, consuming any and every obstacle in its path.

The naming ceremony was expected to mark a new era of health for the bean. Unfortunately, it did not. Because Ayita was never the most graceful Bean, she suffered three broken bones by the end of her second year. Her lungs and digestive system had developed normally, but another problem had emerged.

Panic attacks and [url=http://psychcentral.com/disorders/nightmare-disorder-symptoms/]nightmare disorder[/url] began plaguing the young bean when she was only one and a half. The origins of the disorders are unknown, but she has learned to control them over time. When they first started, however, nightmares would awaken her nightly, and she would have a minimum of two panic attacks per day.

After years of trying out experimental treatment methods on her own, Ayita finally found her escape within music.  With her headphones on and eyes closed, Ayita could close out the world around her, effectively stopping any possible panic attacks or nightmares. Apart from a minor cough after strenuous physical activity, such as running long distances, Ayita feels no effect from her early birth and lives a fairly normal life.[/color][/size][/center]

Her cream colored coat is as soft as a feather,
and her colors contrast perfectly, especially in the sunlight.
Her hair is typically worn down, and the occasional flower crown,
often made by Pine, dons her head. Ayita's fur smells distinctly of
coconut and vanilla, a strange but tantalizing combination.
The young bean is slightly shorter than the typical bean her age,
but her somewhat fluffier than average fur compensates for that.
Ayita slightly thin due to her malnourishment as a child. Her gait
is smooth, her eyes always bright and glittering.[/color][/size]

runs out of energy, and will forever see the world with optimistic
and innocent eyes. She values honesty, love and loyalty above
all else, and wouldn't hesitate to die for someone she loves.
Although she's optimistic, she does occasionally get slightly
depressed, escaping to a world of music and writing.
She loves her family more than herself, and will always put
others first. Ayita has a fiery spirit and won't hesitate to stand up for herself or
those she loves. She is courageous and brave, sometimes overly so, and won't
blink, even if she's staring down death itself. She never pities herself, and will
despise anyone who pities her or sees her as weak. Ayita's never been one for makeup,
grace or daintiness, and won't hesitate to get dirty. She does judge
books by their cover, however, and will often blow off one of those "girly girls".
Ayita is a hopeless romantic and hungers for a real relationship, whether it be with a male
or female.

Ayita is fairly self conscious, and she rarely trusts herself. Her beliefs, unless challenged,
will stay veiled as to not offend others. She can be quite judgmental.
Although she herself is a gossip, Ayita despises being the center of attention with a pure
hatred. Her stubbornness, as well as her bravery and curiosity, often lands Ayita in awkward situations.
She relies heavily on others and loves to be social. After a particularly bad day, however, Ayita will
seal herself away in her room with her music and snap at anyone and anything that comes near her.

[b]As a teen,[/b] Ayita's feisty side has grown, her obsession with music
stronger then ever. Due to her snappy sense of humor and kind nature
she's quite popular, making many friends. Even so, she often feels alone
and spends many nights in her room behind a locked door blasting music,
writing her heart out. Her nightmare disorder has been diagnosed by an
experienced physician and she has trouble getting a good night's rest.
She's grown used to hiding her exhaustion and frustration in public and is in
love with the quote, "We're all glowsticks. We must break before we can shine."
She is emotionally and physically strong, although she can be a loner at times.

[b]As an adult,[/b] Ayita has learned to control her feisty side and is able to
sleep peacefully most nights. Her search for a romantic relationship has come into
play, and she believes in keeping and creating family and friendly ties more than ever.
She is slightly less music-oriented than she was as a teenager, but will never hesitate
to blast her music in the car as they drive on down the highway. She's stronger emotionally

moves dramatically. When bored, her

These movements are completely subconscious,
and Ayita will stop them immediately if she realizes that
her tail's moving, the conclusion of the wagging motion

get loud if you never learn to shut them out". The first lyric
tells Ayita that, even if she feels lost and completely alone,
she does have a place in the world, and she will find it.

reminds her that it's okay to be bisexual

In addition, the singer's voice and the lyrics are beautiful.
Her favorite lyric is "You're looking in the mirror through a
broken window". The lyric means a lot to her, because they
remind her self conscious side that she sees herself in an altered way.
They remind her that no matter how she sees herself, others see her

I would like to start off by thanking
the judges and Pine & Doodle's owners
for putting this amazing, beautiful girl
up for adoption. I'm so thankful to have a chance to
adopt her.
This is not my attempt to butter y'all up,
by the way, I just wanted to thank you all,
because I know my form is soooo long
(and for that I apologize... I just had so much
in my mind) and that it must be impossibly hard to put
her UFA.

Working on Ayita's form took my mind off of finals,
as well as the loss of an animal that was near and
dear to my heart, which I desperately needed.
I fell head over heels in love with her like I've never
done with a character before.

I have so enjoyed working with the darling, and my only
other comments are these:
Thank you so much for doing this. I can't imagine how
hard it is to put a babe like this up for adoption.

I hope whoever wins her takes
perfect care of this bean, because she deserves it.
In case I don't win, an early congrats to whoever does,

Feel free to listen to this as you read her form!

Quatorzain (Kat - er - zane). A quatorzain is
a form of poetry with fourteen lines, similar to a
sonnet. However, it lacks the rules of a sonnet.

Quatorzain understands that most beans
have trouble pronouncing her full name, so she goes
by Kat instead.

She identifies as a girl.

Demi-homosexual; homoromantic.

Quatorzain has a particular obsession with poetry,
and writing of any kind. She loves it to an extent
where she values it above almost all other activities,
and hopes to develop a career as a writer or poet.

Kat's only accessory is her notebook. Although it
may seem typical for a writer to carry her notebook
everywhere, hers is already completely filled with
writing- it was her first ever. It has immense
sentimental value to her, and she would be
devastated if anything happened to it. She carries
it on a string around her neck, like a necklace.

Kat is rather complicated. Slightly above average intelligence and maturity level for her age, she believes that everyone around her can't understand her. This feeling of disconnection has led to a slight problem with making friends her own age. She feels no need for friends, however, and much prefers to be alone, writing or reading. She acts serious and mature in public, but at home she's wild and loves to joke with her family.
Kat will stand up for what she thinks is important. Despite her shyness, she has such strong opinions that when they're challenged, she will rarely back down.

Kat and Doodle are extremely different, but she is able to connect with her Mom even so. While they are both very creative and their obsessions are based around this trait, Kat often acts more mature. She is annoyed by Doodle's taste in music; as she much prefers calm music, reminiscent of poetry, to rock. Kat also has trouble understanding physical art and prefers writing. Even so, Kat shows most of her writing to Doodle and looks up to her as a creative role model.

While Kat and Pine do have a lot in common, their personalities differ a bit, too. Kat isn't as shy as her Mama, she just doesn't like talking to other beans that much- she's often far too busy with more important matters. Kat loves listening to Pine's advice; mostly because she can understand it to more of an extent than most beans.

Kat gets along ok with Soda. While Kat doesn't particularly find bugs interesting, she cares for every living creature and often tries to stop Odelia's lizards from eating Soda's bugs. She avoids her older and younger sister when they get into arguments over this, as she usually tries to stay out of conflict.

Although Kat is a year younger than Daphne, she still feels the need to protect her. Due to Daphne's relative innocence out in the city, Kat tries to stick close by her. She is actually an inch taller than Daphne, due to their small age gap and Daphne's slightly shorter than average height. Kat defends Daphne if she gets teased, even though she herself often invokes more name-calling by being taller than her older sister.
Kat loves Daphne's music because it's calm and beautiful, and sometimes takes a lot of skill to master. The only thing about it that she dislikes is that it often has no words- she understands things better when they use words to capture a scene, a moment, a feeling. Kat has tried many times to master the piano under her sister's guidance, but is frustrated by her lack of natural musical skill.

Odelia is quite different from Kat, but a lovable little sister anyway. While she loves singing, Kat prefers to write- much less scary than preforming. Kat isn't very interested in plants, but finds Odelia's lizards adorable and plays with them whenever she gets the chance.

Floyd is basically Kat's polar opposite. While he is friendly and fairly social, she is often quite and mostly keeps to herself. Floyd loves rock, or as Kat would say, "annoying" music. Kat can appreciate that Floyd loves Broadway, as she finds most musicals interesting. She has started to grow suspicious of how often Doodle takes him "to the movie theater", but has no evidence to back up how this is suspicious.

Kat lounged in a tree, chewing
absentmindedly on the end of her
pencil. She watched as a bird fluttered
past, and immediately jotted down a
couple of words rhyming with "bird"
before ripping out that page and
crumpling it up. Kat groaned with
frustration and stared up at the sky. It
was completely clear except for a small
wisp of cloud by the horizon, ruining the
blue. Suddenly, she heard the door to
her house creak shut and was nearly
startled off the tree branch.
Her Mom, Doodle, appeared below her,
grinning. "Did I scare you?"
Kat's heart beat slowed back to normal,
and she took a deep breath. "Seriously,
Mom?" She laughed, and climbed back to
the ground again. "I can't think of
anything to write." Kat said, stretching.
Doodle appeared to be deep in thought.
"Hmm... how about... that?" She asked,
pointing to a singular orange-turned maple
leaf.
Kat squinted at the object for a moment,
then gasped and hugged Doodle. "That's
perfect! Thanks, Mom!"

Kat walked down the street next
to Daphne, looking around at the
different shops. "Where are we
going again?"
Daphne checked the list Pine had
given her.
"Just to pick up some fruit, I think."
Kat nodded in response as they
neared the small grocery store.
They were quickly in and out again,
and Daphne handed off one of the
bags to Kat.
On the way back, they passed a
group of beans around their age on
the other side of the street, and
Daphne immediately tried to hide her
usual gait- but apparently without
success. The beans stared at her and
giggled before crossing the street
toward them.
"Hey, how's it going, bird-brain?"
One of them sneered at Daphne.
Kat stopped in her tracks and turned
to face them.
"Why don't you leave her alone?" She
said threateningly, before turning and
quickly walking away with Daphne.

As a teenager, Kat will make more friends, but will still keep somewhat to herself. She will not only stay interested in writing, but also pursue helping wildlife and volunteering at animal shelters in her free time. Kat will grow more independent of her family but will still spend time with them. She'll also show her funny side more at school with some of the people she knows, gaining more social confidence. Kat will be more adventurous and willing to take risks and try new things.

As an adult, Kat will have broken out of her shell for the most part. While she will love to go out with friends every so often, a night of just relaxing alone with a book is needed afterward. Kat will pursue her career in writing and volunteer at a wildlife rehabilitation center whenever she has a free day. Kat will be willing to take risks, but also understand the possible consequences of them.

I chose to include more writing than art in this form as I think it says something about her character as a whole. She herself prefers writing, so I thought it would be fitting to have in the form. <3
